Steve Seoane's appointment as CEO is positioned to usher in a new era of product innovation for Versaterm. His strategic vision is centered on building upon the company's four-decade legacy of trusted public safety technology by embracing modern, cloud-based, and AI-driven solutions. Seoane has clearly stated that the goal is to leverage advanced technology to make the lives of public safety professionals simpler, safer, and more effective as they serve their communities. His extensive background is particularly suited for this mission. He was previously selected by Oracle's executive leadership to architect the company's entry into the public safety and local government sectors, where he led global teams in strategy and product development to modernize core municipal operations.
Seoane assumes the leadership role from Warren Loomis, who successfully steered Versaterm for more than 20 years. Under Loomis’s long-term leadership, Versaterm evolved from a regional Canadian provider into a global leader in public safety technology. Loomis oversaw several major transformations, including securing partnerships with Banneker and Permira, which positioned the company for sustained growth and increased investment in its solutions.
Warren Loomis commented on the transition: "As I considered the company's next chapter, it became clear that this is the right moment to pass the baton to Steve. His passion for innovation and his proven ability to scale technology organizations while preserving continuity make him the ideal leader to guide Versaterm into the future."
The Board Chair, Matt McDonald, affirmed the decision, noting that Seoane brings a "rare combination of market awareness, product vision, technological depth and operational discipline" needed to ensure continued commitment to customers while executing on the company’s future growth strategy.
