Agentic AI for Smarter API Testing

Parasoft’s SOAtest now leverages agentic AI in its AI Assistant to generate API test scenarios, enabling testers to create complex, multi-step workflows using natural language prompts and service definition files. This eliminates the need for scripting or advanced technical skills. “At Parasoft, our innovation has always centered on pragmatic automation that makes it easier for customers to build quality into every release,” said Igor Kirilenko, chief product officer, Parasoft. The AI Assistant generates test data and parameterizes scenarios for data looping, scaling API testing for teams of varying expertise.

Comprehensive Code Coverage Across Testing Practices

The upgraded Parasoft CTP extends code coverage collection to manual testing, allowing QA teams to capture and analyze coverage data from manual test runs. This data integrates with automated test results in Parasoft’s DTP, providing a unified view of application coverage. Teams can identify coverage gaps, eliminate redundancies, and prioritize high-risk areas, enhancing testing efficiency. “Efficiency is key,” said Daniel Garay, director, Software Quality Assurance, Parasoft, emphasizing the importance of comprehensive coverage for maintaining software quality.

Test Impact Analysis for Agile Workflows

Parasoft’s CTP now supports Test Impact Analysis (TIA) for manual testing of Java and .NET applications, pinpointing which regression tests are needed based on application changes. This reduces retesting time, accelerates feedback loops, and strengthens collaboration between development and QA. By focusing on impacted areas, TIA ensures critical test cases are prioritized, minimizing bugs in production and supporting agile sprint cycles.
