Apera AI, the leader in 4D Vision for industrial robotic automation, has announced a major suite of updates to its product line, including the release of Apera Vue 9.51 software, significant enhancements to the Apera Forge platform, and the introduction of new large-format VuePort camera models. These advancements are designed to deliver faster deployment, enhanced accuracy, and expanded flexibility for manufacturers scaling vision-guided robotic automation.

Quick Intel

  • Apera AI released Vue 9.51 software with enhanced robot calibration and a new de-racking pipeline.

  • The Apera Forge web platform now enables direct asset deployment from simulation to production.

  • New VuePort L and LT camera models provide a larger field of view for big parts and large-scale projects.

  • A new documentation portal offers integrated 24/7 learning and technical guidance.

  • The updates focus on providing deeper system insights and streamlining the setup process.

  • These innovations aim to make high-precision 4D Vision more accessible and practical for complex automation.

Enhanced Precision with Apera Vue 9.51
The latest version of the core Apera Vue software introduces critical updates for precision and ease of use. Enhanced Robot Calibration now provides histogram visualizations of accuracy metrics, giving users unprecedented visibility into calibration results and confidence in pick precision across the entire vision region. A new Single Rack De-racking Pipeline is also included, dramatically simplifying configuration for tool-mounted camera setups that pick parts from a single row or column.

Streamlining Deployment with Apera Forge
The web-based Apera Forge design studio has been updated to bridge the gap between simulation and real-world deployment. A key new feature, Forge-to-Vue Asset Deployment, allows users to directly download trained vision assets to their VueController without support, accelerating production setup. Additional tools like a CAD Viewer and Optimization tool for .STP and .STL files, along with duplication tools and dark mode, make the platform more powerful and user-friendly for rapid design iteration.

Expanding Hardware Capabilities with New VuePorts
To address the needs of large-scale projects, Apera AI is introducing two new VuePort camera sizes: Large (L) and Large Tall (LT). These pre-calibrated, high-quality 12MP stereo camera pairs support larger-than-ever fields of view, making them ideal for applications involving big parts, big bins, and the most extensive automation cells.

Sina Afrooze, CEO and Founder at Apera AI, stated, "We want to end robot blindness. To achieve this mission, we're pushing the boundaries of AI to make 4D Vision simpler, faster, and more accessible for every robot. With Vue 9.51, we're one step closer. We've given users deeper insights into robot calibration and performance, and we've streamlined how plant-ready vision programs are deployed. Combined with our expanded VuePort lineup, manufacturers now have more tools than ever to scale automation."

Jamie Westell, Director of Engineering at Apera AI, said, "Vue 9.51 and Forge represent another leap forward in making 4D Vision practical for the toughest automation challenges. We've focused on giving users deeper visibility into their systems and streamlining the process from simulation to deployment. These updates make precision more measurable, setup more predictable, and scaling automation across plants faster than ever."

This comprehensive product rollout solidifies Apera AI's position at the forefront of industrial robotics, providing an end-to-end 4D Vision system that combines sophisticated software with powerful hardware to solve complex automation challenges.
