Conquest Planning Inc., a technology platform focused on modernizing financial advice, has announced a strategic partnership with Meridian Credit Union, Canada’s second-largest credit union. This collaboration is central to Meridian's new OnYourWay advice experience, which is designed to increase Members' confidence in their financial futures. Through the partnership, all Meridian financial planners and investment advisors now have access to Conquest’s artificial intelligence (AI)-powered financial planning platform to deliver deeper, more personalized, and impactful advice to Members.

Quick Intel

  • Conquest Planning has partnered with Meridian Credit Union to modernize financial advice for its Members.

  • The partnership integrates Conquest’s AI platform into Meridian’s new OnYourWay advice experience.

  • All Meridian financial planners and investment advisors will use the platform to deliver highly personalized plans.

  • Meridian also launched a self-directed financial planning experience via their secure mobile and online banking platforms, free of charge to Members.

  • Conquest's Strategic Advice Manager (SAM) uses AI to model complex financial scenarios and evaluate trade-offs.

  • The initiative offers Members flexibility to choose advisor-led, self-directed, or hybrid approaches to managing their financial future.

Empowering Members with Flexible and Accessible Planning

Meridian is leveraging the partnership to offer an unprecedented level of accessibility and control over financial planning. As part of the initiative, the Credit Union has launched a self-directed financial planning experience powered by Conquest’s platform. This allows Members to build, view, and manage their own financial plans directly through Meridian’s secure mobile and online banking platforms at no additional cost. Members can engage with their plans either independently or with the support of an advisor, providing transparency and flexibility.

Dilys D’Cruz, Senior Vice President, Retail Banking & Wealth at Meridian Credit Union, emphasized the credit union’s member-first philosophy:

“At Meridian, we believe financial advice should be inclusive, accessible, and empowering for all. Our partnership with Conquest helps us deliver on that promise, combining our advisors’ expertise with Conquest’s intuitive technology so Members can get the guidance they need to build confidence and achieve their best lives. This collaboration offers them the flexibility to work directly with an advisor, start on their own or take a hybrid approach.”

Leveraging AI for Strategic Advice

At the core of the enhanced planning experience is Conquest’s Strategic Advice Manager (SAM). This AI-powered feature is engineered to model multiple financial scenarios and present the potential outcomes of various strategies, enabling Members to make truly informed decisions. SAM automates complex calculations and evaluates the trade-offs between short-term needs (like buying a car) and long-term objectives (like retirement savings).

By automating the complexity, SAM allows advisors to pivot from manual calculations to more meaningful client conversations and strategic guidance. For Members, SAM provides a clearer, simpler understanding of their goals and progress, empowering them with confidence whether they are planning for a first home, a child's education, or retirement.

Mark Evans, President and Chief Executive Officer at Conquest Planning, commented on the innovative delivery model:

“Meridian is redefining how credit unions deliver advice by combining advisor expertise with self-directed, digital-first planning tools. This partnership ensures customers have access to the same sophisticated planning technology used by some of the largest financial institutions in North America—delivered in a way that’s approachable, flexible and personalized.”

By making these enhanced, advisor-grade planning capabilities accessible through secure digital channels and at no additional cost, Meridian and Conquest are committed to Member-first innovation that utilizes technology to strengthen, rather than substitute, the human connection in financial advice.
