BearingPoint, in collaboration with SAP, launched a modular, cloud-based e-mobility platform designed to streamline electric vehicle (EV) fleet and charging infrastructure management. Unveiled at SAP Sapphire 2025 in Madrid, the solution, built on BearingPoint ETM.next and integrated with SAP E-Mobility, supports fleet managers and charge point operators (CPOs) in advancing electrification while enhancing operational and cost efficiency.
The platform consolidates EV fleet and charging infrastructure into a single interface, addressing the fragmented e-mobility market. “With this solution, we are addressing a crucial need for businesses transitioning to electromobility in a rapidly evolving and currently fragmented market,” said Nina London, Partner at BearingPoint. It offers end-to-end capabilities, including:
The solution runs on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) and is compatible with SAP S/4HANA, ensuring scalability and integration with existing SAP landscapes. Its smart charging optimizes energy costs, reducing total cost of ownership (TCO) for fleet operators.
Advanced analytics provide insights into charging behaviors and route planning, maximizing asset utilization and supporting sustainability goals, aligning with the 2025 global EV market growth to 17 million units (IEA).
The platform enters a booming e-mobility sector, with the global EV charging market projected to grow from USD 3.8 billion in 2024 to USD 32.1 billion by 2032 (CAGR 30.6%). Competitors like ChargePoint and ABB offer similar solutions, but BearingPoint’s SAP integration and focus on small to mid-sized CPOs provide a unique edge. SAP E-Mobility’s prior success with clients like ChargeX and Amperfied (migrating 1,700 chargers to the cloud in 2025) underscores the platform’s reliability.
Posts on X highlight enthusiasm, with @The_EV_Report noting the platform’s role in advancing sustainable fleet management, reflecting positive industry sentiment.
The launch expands BearingPoint’s SAP BTP-based product portfolio, reinforcing its position as a certified B Corporation committed to sustainability. “This event provided an excellent opportunity for us to showcase the capabilities of our integrated e-mobility platform,” London added. The solution is a game-changer for fleet operators future-proofing mobility strategies, particularly in Europe, where EV adoption is accelerating (47% of new car sales in Norway, 2024).
