Fabrix Security has launched from stealth with $8 million in seed funding led by Norwest, Merlin Ventures, and Jibe Ventures, to introduce Fabrix, an AI-native identity security solution. This platform enables enterprises to manage and secure human and non-human identities—like bots, API keys, service accounts, and AI agents—enforcing least privilege and minimizing attack surfaces without hindering business speed. The funding will support product development, sales, and marketing as Fabrix addresses identity sprawl in a market plagued by manual IAM processes.

  • Fabrix Security raises $8M seed from Norwest, Merlin Ventures, Jibe Ventures.
  • Co-founded by CEO Raz Rotenberg (ex-Run.ai, acquired by NVIDIA) and CTO Ofir Yakovian (ex-Orca Security, Microsoft Entra).
  • Backed by leaders from NVIDIA, Cyera, Palo Alto Networks, Tenable, Google, Microsoft.
  • AI agents automate IAM tasks, providing explainable decisions with reasoning trails.
  • Targets exponential growth in non-human identities, reducing manual reviews and risks.
  • Enables proactive ISPM, just-in-time access, and governance for AI agents/NHIs.

Revolutionizing IAM with AI-Native Design

Traditional IAM systems falter amid identity sprawl, where human and non-human identities proliferate, rendering manual processes inefficient for least privilege enforcement. Fabrix, architected from the ground up with AI, uses agentless connectors to build an identity fabric graph, then deploys specialized AI agents to automate governance, integrate workflows, and adapt permissions based on runtime context. Leveraging LLMs for discovery and optimization, it delivers auditable, evidence-based decisions, transforming IAM from reactive to autonomous.

How Fabrix Works

Fabrix gathers identity and permission data via connectors, forming an AI-ready graph for analysis. AI agents then automate tasks like access reviews, policy enforcement, and remediation, with natural language setup for ease. The explainable AI layer ensures traceability, while dynamic, context-aware execution supports just-enough, just-in-time access. For non-human identities, it provides visibility and control, eliminating blind spots in SaaS, cloud, on-prem, and disconnected apps.

Key capabilities include identity visibility for risk spotting, supercharged IGA for lifecycle management, proactive ISPM for ongoing optimization, effortless LCM for onboarding/offboarding, and NHI governance to secure emerging AI agents.

“IAM problems have been around for decades, but identity sprawl has made them worse. Both human and non-human identities are growing exponentially. At this scale, traditional IAM systems that rely on manual processes can’t achieve their main objectives, enforcing least privilege and reducing the attack surface. With the AI revolution, Fabrix can deliver significant value to customers by making these processes intelligent and autonomous, in ways that could never have been done before,” said Raz Rotenberg, CEO of Fabrix Security.

“Enterprise identity security teams continue to struggle with identity governance and administration (IGA) challenges like manual processes, inefficient user access reviews, and integration across broad portfolios of workforce apps. AI holds the promise of streamlining IGA operations, and Fabrix Security brings domain expertise and a new approach that holds the promise of turbocharging identity team effectiveness,” said Todd Thiemann, Principal Analyst, Enterprise Strategy Group.

“Identity and access management is a well-known IT and security pain point. Fabrix Security is using new AI technologies to tackle this difficult and persistent problem,” said Dror Nahumi, General Partner at Norwest. “Its technology leverages advanced reasoning methodologies to monitor access decisions. This revolutionary approach adds a powerful layer of intelligence to enhance existing identity platforms.”

“The identity space is on the verge of major disruption. AI’s ability to multitask at scale and make instant decisions will eliminate today’s approval bottlenecks and long wait times. Identity will become one of the most profoundly impacted areas of cybersecurity in the near future,” said Shay Michel, Managing Partner at Merlin Ventures.

“Fabrix brings a transformative approach to identity security. Their AI-native platform leverages Agentic AI to change the way we do IAM—constantly optimizing permissions, reducing risk, and giving IAM teams the confidence to scale securely across SaaS, cloud, on-prem, and disconnected apps,” said Yoni Kaplansky, Head of Architecture, Engineering, and Operations at FICO.

Fabrix's emergence marks a pivotal shift in IAM, where AI-native solutions promise to scale security amid exploding non-human identities. By automating manual burdens and providing intelligent, traceable decisions, Fabrix empowers enterprises to achieve least privilege at velocity, reducing risks while accelerating business. As the $50B+ IAM market evolves, Fabrix's agentic approach positions it to lead in proactive, autonomous identity management.
