Teradata has launched AgentBuilder, a suite of capabilities to accelerate the creation and deployment of autonomous, contextually intelligent AI agents. Powered by open-source frameworks and Teradata's AI and knowledge platform, AgentBuilder integrates trusted data, advanced analytics, and hybrid infrastructure to address barriers like data silos, lack of business context, and governance risks in agentic AI adoption.
Enterprises face challenges in operationalizing autonomous agents, including unreliable outputs from fragmented data, limited contextual relevance, performance inefficiencies, and deployment risks. AgentBuilder tackles these by embedding domain expertise and business knowledge into agents, ensuring trustworthy, explainable results. This enables a shift from experimentation to production-scale AI that aligns with governance standards and drives innovation across hybrid environments.
AgentBuilder supports modular open-source tools for agent workflows, memory, reasoning, and coordination, combined with Teradata Vantage's scalability and governance. The MCP Server provides curated prompts and resources for precise querying and action, streamlining development while maintaining security. This hybrid approach—cloud and on-premises—delivers flexibility without compromising performance or compliance.
Teradata Agents are task-specific templates that accelerate implementation for domain challenges:
These agents continuously learn, adapting to produce relevant outputs for high-impact use cases like churn analysis and operational monitoring.
“AgentBuilder represents meaningful progress in advancing agentic AI for the autonomous enterprise,” said Sumeet Arora, Chief Product Officer at Teradata. “By combining the flexibility of open-source frameworks with Teradata’s AI and knowledge platform and our MCP Server, which provides deep semantic access to enterprise data, we’re helping organizations build intelligent agents that are not only autonomous and scalable, but also deeply aligned with their business goals, governance standards, and domain expertise.”
“Add to that our seamless support across cloud and on-premises environments, and we’re delivering a level of flexibility, integration, and contextual intelligence that sets Teradata apart. This is not just about data—it’s about delivering trusted, transparent, and complete knowledge to power the next generation of AI,” added Arora.
AgentBuilder will enter private preview in Q4 2025, with hands-on demos at Teradata Possible 2025 in Los Angeles from October 6-8. This launch positions Teradata to empower organizations with AI that unlocks confident decision-making and business growth.
