Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced the appointment of Phil Mottram as Executive Vice President and Chief Sales Officer, effective November 1, 2025, as veteran leader Heiko Meyer retires after 38 years with the company. Mottram, a seasoned technology executive, will lead HPE’s global sales teams, focusing on Servers, Hybrid Cloud solutions, and the channel and partner ecosystem, driving the company’s growth in a competitive technology landscape.

Strategic Leadership Appointment

Phil Mottram, who joined HPE in 2019, steps into the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Sales Officer, bringing over 30 years of experience in the technology sector. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President of Growth Markets and led HPE Aruba Networking for four years, achieving record revenue growth and profitability through innovation and operational discipline. His extensive sales leadership background, including roles at AT&T, Sprint, BT, Telstra, CSL, Vodafone, and Zayo, positions him to drive HPE’s global sales strategy across Servers, Hybrid Cloud solutions, and the partner ecosystem.

Leading our Global Sales organization has been the highlight of my career, as I’ve had the opportunity to meet with customers, partners and team members from around the world. I retire from HPE feeling proud of the team and fortunate to have spent my career in service of our customers and partners.
