Rokt, the leading ecommerce technology company, is strengthening its leadership team to fuel its next phase of global growth and AI innovation. The company announced two key senior leadership changes: the appointment of Reuben Kan as its first Chief Research Officer and the promotion of Jon Humphrey to Senior Vice President of Operations & Advertising, who will also join the executive committee.
Rokt has named Reuben Kan as its first Chief Research Officer to lead AI innovation.
Jon Humphrey was promoted to SVP of Operations & Advertising, joining the executive committee.
Kan will set the long-term research agenda and expand academic partnerships.
Humphrey will now have overall responsibility for the Rokt Ads business unit.
These moves follow a year of 40% revenue growth, reaching $600 million in 2024.
The leadership expansion supports Rokt's strategy to scale its global ecommerce network.
The newly created role of Chief Research Officer underscores Rokt's deep commitment to advancing its AI and machine learning capabilities. Reuben Kan, who previously served as Senior Vice President of Engineering and brings 15 years of experience from Google, will now lead the company's next wave of technical innovation. His mandate includes shaping advancements in AI and optimization, setting the long-term research agenda, and expanding partnerships with leading academic institutions to strengthen Rokt's leadership in applied data science. Claire Southey, Chief AI Officer at Rokt, said, "Reuben's technical depth and creative problem-solving have fueled many of our most advanced innovations. In this new role, I am confident that he will help sharpen our research agenda and ensure Rokt continues to define the frontier of AI and ecommerce technology."
In a parallel move, Jon Humphrey has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations & Advertising. In this expanded role, he takes overall responsibility for the Rokt Ads business unit, in addition to his current oversight of go-to-market delivery across Operations, Solutions, Launch, and Partnerships. Reporting directly to CEO Bruce Buchanan, Humphrey's promotion recognizes his impact in scaling Rokt Ads and strengthening value delivery for partners. Buchanan stated, "Jon has been instrumental in scaling Rokt Ads and strengthening how we deliver value to our partners. His leadership, commercial focus, and deep understanding of our customers make him the ideal person to lead GTM Delivery as we continue to expand globally."
These leadership additions are strategically timed as Rokt experiences significant momentum. The company reported revenue growth of over 40% year-over-year in 2024, reaching $600 million. These appointments follow other recent strategic moves, including board appointments and key partnerships with major retailers like Ulta Beauty and Macy's, positioning the company for continued innovation and market expansion. CEO Bruce Buchanan summarized, "Reuben and Jon are exceptional leaders who have earned the trust of our teams and customers through consistent delivery and vision. Their expanded roles strengthen Rokt's foundation as we enter our next phase of growth."
