Emerald Holding, Inc., a leader in building dynamic, market-driven business-to-business (B2B) events and media platforms, announced the appointment of Vincenzo (“Vince”) DiMaggio as Chief Accounting Officer. With over 25 years of accounting leadership, DiMaggio will oversee accounting operations, public financial reporting, and drive technology-driven efficiencies to support Emerald’s portfolio optimization strategy.
Vince DiMaggio brings extensive experience from roles at Stagwell Global, where he managed global accounting and compliance, as well as Endeavor, Viacom Inc., and The New York Times Company. His expertise as a CPA in SEC reporting, technical accounting, and SOX compliance, combined with a track record of integrating acquisitions and modernizing processes, positions him to strengthen Emerald’s financial infrastructure.
“Vince brings significant financial expertise to Emerald at an important stage in our evolution,” said David Doft, Chief Financial Officer of Emerald. “His expertise in SEC reporting, technical accounting and overall digital transformation of financial reporting will be critical as we pursue our portfolio optimization strategy both domestically and overseas, while maintaining discipline and a strong financial foundation.”
At Emerald, DiMaggio will oversee all aspects of accounting operations and public financial reporting, collaborating with finance teams to leverage technology and automation for greater efficiency. His role will support Emerald’s long-term growth strategy, aligning with its recent executive appointments, such as Danielle Puceta as Chief Digital Officer to drive digital transformation.
“I am pleased to join Emerald and contribute to the next chapter of its growth,” said DiMaggio. “I look forward to leveraging my experience to drive the company’s financial objectives and strategic priorities as it expands in the U.S. and internationally.”
Emerald’s stock (NYSE: EEX) is trading at $5.207, near its 52-week high of $5.45, with a market cap of $1.01 billion and a 32% price return over the past six months (see finance card above). The company’s strong momentum aligns with its strategic focus on portfolio optimization, as evidenced by its recent acquisition of Generis Group, a leader in B2B executive summits, to accelerate growth.
Emerald operates in the $5.9 trillion global B2B market, delivering over 140 events annually and offering content and e-commerce solutions across industries like gift, home, sports, design, technology, and jewelry. DiMaggio’s appointment enhances Emerald’s ability to scale its commerce-driven platforms, competing with digital transformation trends seen in partnerships like AWS-SAP Sovereign Cloud and FusionIQ’s collaboration with The Greens.
