Brand Engagement Network (BEN) has officially launched Cataneo's U.S. market expansion following its acquisition of Cataneo GmbH, strengthening its position in enterprise AI and media technology. With a new commercial headquarters in New York City, strategic leadership appointments, and continued integration of AI into Cataneo's media platform, BEN aims to help broadcasters, media companies, and advertisers modernize operations through intelligent automation and AI-powered workflows.
Following the completion of its Cataneo GmbH acquisition on June 30, 2026, Brand Engagement Network has entered the next phase of its growth strategy by launching Cataneo's expansion into the U.S. market. The company has established its U.S. commercial headquarters on Madison Avenue in New York City to support customer engagement and business development.
The expansion builds on Cataneo's established enterprise media technology platform, MYDAS, which currently manages more than €6 billion in annual advertising inventory across more than 1,000 media brands and over 200 channels worldwide. BEN believes the U.S. media industry presents a significant opportunity as broadcasters, content owners, and advertising organizations continue investing in AI-powered infrastructure to improve efficiency and modernize advertising operations.
To drive commercial growth, BEN has appointed Don Durand as Chief Sales Officer of Cataneo. With more than two decades of experience in media technology leadership, including roles at WideOrbit and Imagine Communications, Durand will oversee Cataneo's global commercial strategy while expanding customer adoption across the U.S. market.
The company expects his experience working with broadcasters, publishers, advertisers, and enterprise media organizations to support the rollout of AI-powered media technology solutions that address evolving operational and advertising requirements.
Cataneo Co-Founder Christian Unterseer has joined BEN's Board of Directors, where he will contribute to corporate strategy and future mergers and acquisitions.
Having founded Cataneo more than 25 years ago, Unterseer helped pioneer cloud-based media infrastructure well before it became an industry standard. He believes artificial intelligence represents the next major transformation in enterprise media technology.
"When we founded Cataneo more than 25 years ago, we believed the future of media technology would be cloud-based, long before the industry reached that conclusion," said Christian Unterseer. "Today, I believe AI represents the next major transformation for our industry. Many organizations are discussing the potential of AI, but the real opportunity is turning that potential into practical solutions that deliver measurable outcomes. BEN and Cataneo bring together the technology, infrastructure, and expertise needed to help make that transformation a reality. Joining the Board gives me the opportunity to help drive that vision and support BEN as it leads the next phase of transformation in media technology."
BEN's commercial expansion focuses on integrating its proprietary Engagement Language Model (ELM) with Cataneo's enterprise media platform to deliver AI-enhanced capabilities across advertising sales, scheduling, forecasting, workflow automation, operational intelligence, and customer engagement.
The combined platform is designed to help broadcasters, media companies, content owners, and advertising organizations improve operational efficiency while transitioning from traditional workflow automation to intelligent AI-driven enterprise systems.
Tyler Luck, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Brand Engagement Network, outlined the company's vision for the expansion.
"The acquisition gave BEN the foundation. This expansion represents the next phase - bringing together Cataneo's trusted media infrastructure, industry expertise, and BEN's AI capabilities to build the future of enterprise media technology. We're investing in the people, leadership, and infrastructure needed to scale Cataneo's globally proven platform in the U.S. market. The U.S. represents one of the largest opportunities in the global media technology market, and we believe the combination of Cataneo's enterprise media technology and BEN's artificial intelligence capabilities creates a unique opportunity to help media organizations modernize operations, automate increasingly complex workflows, and prepare for the next generation of AI-powered advertising. We believe the next generation of media technology will not only automate workflows, but fundamentally change how media organizations operate and create value."
BEN's expansion demonstrates its strategy of combining enterprise AI with proven media technology infrastructure to support digital transformation across the advertising ecosystem. By extending Cataneo's presence into the U.S. market while integrating AI capabilities across its platform, the company aims to help media organizations improve operational efficiency and prepare for the future of intelligent advertising technology.
