DeepL, a global leader in Language AI, has become the first in Europe to deploy the NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD with DGX GB200 systems, operational at EcoDataCenter in Sweden as of June 11, 2025. This advanced computing platform dramatically enhances DeepL’s Language AI capabilities, reducing the time to translate the entire internet from 194 days to just 18.5 days. This marks DeepL’s third NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD deployment, surpassing its previous flagship, DeepL Mercury, and reinforcing its leadership in AI-driven translation.
DeepL deploys Europe’s first NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD with DGX GB200 systems.
Translates the entire web in 18.5 days, down from 194 days.
Enhances translation speed, quality, and interactivity with generative AI features.
Supports multi-modal models and personalization for tailored user experiences.
Scalable, liquid-cooled system with tens of thousands of GPUs for high-performance AI.
Trusted by over 200,000 businesses and governments across 228 markets.
The NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD, equipped with GB200 Grace Blackwell Superchips, enables DeepL to process trillion-parameter models with exceptional efficiency. This deployment reduces translation times significantly: the Oxford English Dictionary now takes 2 seconds (down from 39), and Marcel Proust’s In Search of Lost Time is translated in 0.09 seconds (down from 0.95). Overall, the system delivers 30 times the text output of previous capabilities, enabling near-instant responses for users.
The new infrastructure powers DeepL’s research, unlocking generative AI features that enhance translation quality, nuance, and interactivity. “At DeepL, we take pride in our unwavering commitment to research and development, which has consistently allowed us to deliver solutions that outshine our competitors,” said Jarek Kutylowski, CEO and Founder of DeepL. The platform supports over 200,000 businesses, including 50% of the Fortune 500, in breaking down language barriers across 228 markets.
DeepL’s long-term vision includes adopting multi-modal models as standard, focusing on personalization to deliver tailored user experiences. The DGX SuperPOD’s scalability, with support for tens of thousands of GPUs, ensures DeepL can train advanced models to meet growing demands. “Customers using Language AI applications expect nearly instant responses, making efficient and powerful AI infrastructure critical,” said Charlie Boyle, Vice President of DGX Systems at NVIDIA.
This deployment strengthens DeepL’s ability to serve clients like Zendesk, Nikkei, and Deutsche Bahn, driving cross-border collaboration and market expansion. With a $300M investment at a $2B valuation in May 2024 and a new New York tech hub, DeepL continues to innovate, setting a new standard for translation accuracy and performance.
