ActiveCampaign Simplifies Google Ads Campaign Creation

ActiveCampaign has announced a new Google Ads connector that allows marketers and business owners to connect their customer data with Google Ads and launch Performance Max campaigns without leaving the ActiveCampaign platform.

Powered by Active Intelligence, the company's AI engine, the integration guides users through campaign setup using natural language prompts. Customers can create a Google Ads account, define campaign objectives, establish budgets, and receive AI-generated recommendations for ad copy, all from a single workspace.

The goal is to simplify campaign execution while allowing marketers to focus on strategic decision-making.

AI-Powered Performance Max Campaigns Across Google

The connector enables marketers to launch Google Performance Max campaigns, which use AI to deliver advertisements across Google's advertising ecosystem, including Search, YouTube, Gmail, Maps, Display, and Discover.

Integrated into the experience is Google's gen AI asset builder (currently in beta), allowing users to generate new campaign images or utilize creative assets already stored in ActiveCampaign's Content Manager.

Whether users are new to Google Ads or experienced advertisers, Active Intelligence provides guided campaign creation while keeping marketers in control of campaign goals, messaging, budgets, and final decisions.

Supporting the "Last Mile" of Marketing Execution

ActiveCampaign describes the integration as addressing the "last mile" of marketing, where AI manages execution while marketers retain ownership of strategic direction and creative decisions.

Customers begin by describing their objectives to Active Intelligence. The AI then recommends campaign structures, guides account setup for new advertisers, and assists throughout campaign development based on the user's goals and available budget.

This approach is intended to reduce operational complexity while helping businesses launch campaigns more efficiently.

Expanding the Active Intelligence Connector Ecosystem

The Google Ads connector becomes the latest addition to ActiveCampaign's expanding ecosystem of AI-powered integrations designed to centralize marketing execution.

In addition to Google Ads, Active Intelligence currently connects with platforms including Wix, Calendly, and Stripe, with additional integrations planned for future releases.

By bringing multiple marketing tools into a single AI-powered workspace, ActiveCampaign aims to help marketers execute campaigns across their broader technology stack without repeatedly switching between applications.

Available for Plus Plan Customers

The Google Ads connector is now available to ActiveCampaign customers using Plus plans and higher. Users can access the integration through the Active Intelligence Workspace by selecting Google Ads from the platform's Tools menu.

The launch further expands ActiveCampaign's AI-powered marketing capabilities by combining customer data, campaign planning, and Google advertising management within a unified conversational interface.
