Hiring remote talent in Latin America continues to gain momentum as U.S. businesses expand their teams with specialized professionals across sales, finance, and leadership roles. Hire With Near's latest midyear hiring report highlights significant placement growth, faster hiring timelines, and increasing demand from small and mid-sized companies seeking to scale their operations with remote talent.
Hire With Near, a staffing and recruiting firm specializing in remote talent across Latin America, has released its midyear hiring data, reporting a 31% increase in placements during the first half of 2026 compared to the previous six months. Year-over-year, placements grew by 67%, reflecting sustained demand for skilled professionals across multiple business functions.
The report indicates that U.S. employers are increasingly turning to Latin America to fill both revenue-generating and finance positions while expanding leadership roles within distributed teams.
Sales positions continue to dominate hiring demand, with Sales Development Representative (SDR) remaining the most frequently placed role. SDR placements increased by more than 70% compared to the previous six-month period, while Account Executives and Outbound Engagement Specialists entered the top ten most-placed positions for the first time.
Finance hiring also experienced substantial growth. Bookkeeper recorded the largest jump among all positions, moving from twelfth to fifth place, while Accountant climbed to become the second most-placed role overall. The trend highlights increasing demand for financial professionals as businesses scale their operations.
Beyond individual contributor roles, the report shows companies are increasingly hiring experienced professionals for leadership positions. Manager-level placements approximately doubled during the first half of 2026, demonstrating that organizations are entrusting Latin American talent with greater operational responsibility and team management.
The findings suggest remote hiring strategies are evolving from tactical staffing decisions into long-term workforce expansion plans.
The regional hiring landscape also shifted significantly during the reporting period. Brazil became the leading country for placements for the first time, accounting for more than one in five hires and surpassing both Colombia and Argentina.
Additional markets also recorded strong growth. Hiring in Mexico increased by more than 80%, placements in El Salvador more than doubled, and the Dominican Republic entered the company's top ten hiring destinations for the first time.
The report also highlights improvements in hiring speed. The median time between candidate selection and employment dropped from 12 days to 10 days, while nearly four out of every ten new hires started within one week.
"What we're seeing is companies coming back role after role," said Hayden Cohen, CEO of Hire With Near. "A company hires a salesperson, then another, then an accountant to support what the sales team is bringing in. For a business with 30 or 40 employees, that's a real growth strategy, and it's why the fastest-growing segment of our placements is companies of 26 to 50 people."
More than half of all placements during the reporting period were made by companies employing 50 or fewer people, with organizations employing between 26 and 50 people representing the fastest-growing customer segment.
The latest hiring data underscores the growing role of Latin America as a strategic talent hub for U.S. businesses, particularly as organizations seek skilled remote professionals across sales, finance, and leadership functions while accelerating hiring timelines.
