Zoho Corporation Expands Adelaide Office, Doubling Headcount as the City Anchors Its Regional-First Australian Strategy

Australian team more than doubles in two years while revenue climbs 23% year over year, with Adelaide now home to more than 60% of the company's national workforce

Adelaide, Australia — July 1, 2026 — Zoho Corporation, a global technology company, today announced the expansion of its Adelaide office, reinforcing a regional-first strategy that has set the company apart in the Australian market. The expanded workspace was inaugurated by Minister Chris Picton, South Australian Minister for State Development, and a member of State Parliament from the southern suburbs of Adelaide. The new office will house teams from Zoho and ManageEngine, two of the major divisions within the company.

Zoho has more than doubled its Australian team over the past two years, with Adelaide now home to 25 of its 40-strong local workforce, more than 60 per cent of the national team. The company grew revenue 23 per cent year over year, nearly 5x the growth forecast for the broader Australian software industry over the same period, while customer numbers rose 29 per cent. The expansion follows the recent opening of the company's Sydney office in Parramatta, and together, the two moves point to the momentum building behind Zoho's growth across the region.

While much of the technology industry concentrates its people and investment in Sydney and Melbourne, Zoho has deliberately built from outside the major capitals. It has chosen regional centres to drive innovation, create employment, and open up opportunities in markets the rest of the sector overlooks. Adelaide is the clearest expression of that approach. The expanded office reflects a long-term commitment to the city, which now serves as the operational heart of Zoho's business across Australia and New Zealand.

“What began with a handful of Australian customers more than a decade ago has become one of the most rewarding markets we serve anywhere in the world. Adelaide has been central to that story. The team we have built here shows what regional talent can do when a company commits to it for the long term,” said Rakesh Prabhakar, head of Zoho ANZ. Our customer retention in Australia is among the highest we see globally, and as more businesses look for software that delivers value, the opportunity in front of us has never been greater."

As South Australia positions itself as a centre for artificial intelligence, the digital economy and other emerging technologies, Zoho's regional model offers a working example of how global technology investment can translate into local jobs and home-grown capability.

Chris Picton, South Australian Minister for State Development said, "South Australia is increasingly becoming the destination of choice for businesses that are building the industries of the future, from artificial intelligence to the broader digital economy.

Companies like Zoho show what is possible when global technology firms choose to invest in our state, creating high-skill jobs and developing local talent right here in Adelaide, and we welcome their continued commitment."

Zoho Corporation stands to play a pivotal role in Australia’s digital future. By anchoring its growth strategy within this burgeoning corridor, the company is not just expanding its footprint; it is actively contributing to the country's high-skill talent pipeline and technological sovereignty, while bridging the gap between local opportunity and global impact.

"By bringing multiple systems into one unified platform, Zoho has simplified how we work and created a strong foundation for growth. Their investment in Adelaide extends that sense of integration beyond the organisation, contributing to a growing local community focused on collaboration and innovation." said Lynda McArdle, Chief Operating Officer, ARRIA.

As Zoho deepens its presence in Adelaide, the company is creating high-skill jobs, developing technology talent in a market rich with untapped potential, and proving that world-class innovation can come from outside the major capitals. With its team here continuing to grow and its commitment to South Australia firmly set, Zoho is helping shape the next chapter of regional Australia's technology story.
