Appointment Reinforces Pimloc’s Commitment to Helping U.S. Government Agencies and Enterprises Balance Privacy and Security Across Video, Images, Audio, and Documents
San Francisco, CA – September 1, 2026 – Pimloc, the leading AI video privacy and analytics company, today announced that Teresa Shea has joined the company as a strategic advisor. Shea will advise Pimloc’s leadership team as the company expands its U.S. business, helping government agencies and enterprises protect personally identifiable information (PII) while enabling the responsible use of video, images, audio, and documents.
Secure Redact is already helping public safety agencies, educational institutions, and other organizations across the U.S. automatically redact PII before sensitive video, images, audio, and documents are reviewed, shared, or disclosed. Shea’s appointment reflects Pimloc’s next phase of growth as it expands its work with federal agencies and global enterprises managing increasingly large and complex media datasets.
“Organizations shouldn’t have to choose between protecting privacy and making effective use of sensitive information,” said Simon Randall, CEO of Pimloc. “Teresa has spent her career leading organizations entrusted with protecting national security and sensitive data. She understands the challenges organizations face as they manage growing volumes of personal information and the need for strong privacy controls that enable its safe and responsible use. Her experience will be instrumental as we continue expanding our business globally."
Shea brings more than three decades of leadership spanning intelligence, cybersecurity, advanced technology, and corporate governance. During her 32-year career at the National Security Agency (NSA), she rose to Director of Signals Intelligence, leading the agency’s core intelligence mission.
She later served as Executive Vice President of Technology at In-Q-Tel, directing strategic investments to meet Intelligence Community needs, before leading Raytheon Technologies’ cyber offensive and defensive business. Today, she is President of Oplnet, LLC, where she advises organizations on cybersecurity, national security, and strategic risk.
In addition, she serves on the corporate board of directors of Huntington National Bank and is on the Serco North America Board. She is on the advisory boards of Altana, SandboxAQ, and Invisible. She co-chairs the nonprofit board of The Cyber Guild and serves on the nonprofit boards of the National Cryptologic Foundation and the Intelligence and National Security Foundation.
“Every organization handling sensitive video, images, audio, and documents today is navigating the same challenge I’ve spent most of my career managing: how to make responsible use of sensitive data without compromising personally identifiable information,” said Shea. “Pimloc is built for organizations that can’t afford to get privacy wrong. When people lose confidence that their information is being handled responsibly, they lose confidence in the institutions and systems meant to protect them. Security is only as strong as the public’s trust in it, and that starts with getting privacy right. I’m excited to help Pimloc bring Secure Redact to even more organizations across the U.S.”
