Concentric AI Passes Rigorous Standardized Evaluation Proving its Security Assessment, Authorization, and Continuous Monitoring Capabilities for Selling into Texas State Agencies and Departments

SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 24, 2025 — Concentric AI today announced that its industry-leading data security governance solution has achieved Texas Risk and Authorization Management Program (TX-RAMP) certification. This certification enables Concentric AI to serve Texas state agencies and public education institutions that are required to work with organizations demonstrating compliance with TX-RAMP requirements.

The TX-RAMP certification confirms that Concentric AI’s Semantic Intelligence™ platform meets the strict cybersecurity standards required to access data from state agencies and public higher education institutions in Texas. It also provides assurance that Concentric AI is a trusted, highly secure cloud service provider committed to proactive data security.

“Concentric AI is proud to be TX-RAMP certified,” said Lane Sullivan, SVP, Chief Information Security and Strategy Officer at Concentric AI. “We thank the State of Texas for its rigorous certification process, which validates safe and secure vendors. With this milestone, we continue to deliver innovation with trust, providing secure, compliant AI-driven data protection for the public sector and enterprises alike. This achievement adds to Concentric AI’s extensive list of security validations and certifications and underscores our unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest levels of protection for private and public data.”

To achieve TX-RAMP certification, Concentric AI engaged in a comprehensive assessment process to demonstrate compliance with state-mandated cybersecurity standards. The company will also undergo regular reviews to maintain ongoing security and compliance. The program’s requirements are based on NIST SP 800-53, a cybersecurity framework developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). They include adherence to a baseline level of security requirements, certification by the Texas Department of Information Resources, and continuous monitoring by Texas state agencies.

State agencies and education institutions are responsible for securely managing and protecting large amounts of data spread across different departments. However, they often have limited resources and outdated technology systems. These organizations gain significant value from vendors like Concentric AI, which help them discover and protect data both on-premises and in the cloud from threats such as insider threats and third-party vendor risks. Certified vendors can also help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as privacy regulations, cybersecurity standards such as NIST and HIPAA, and industry-specific guidelines.

Concentric AI’s end-to-end data security governance platform uniquely positions the company to discover and protect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and confidential data associated with Texas state agencies, whether the data is at rest or in motion, and across all the GenAI applications users interact with. The platform is powered by patented AI that understands context so it can discover and categorize data records that are semantically similar, without relying on agents, complex rules, or regex. It continuously monitors for risk, remediates, investigates, and ensures compliance.

Semantic Intelligence redefines what’s possible in data security governance by serving as a single end-to-end platform to protect enterprise data wherever it lives and however it travels.  This includes data at rest across cloud and on-premises environments; data in motion being emailed, uploaded to file sharing applications, and posted on social media; and across all the GenAI applications users interact with today. Instead of relying on rigid rules, keywords, or data samples, it uses its patented AI to understand the context behind both structured and unstructured data. This enables it to identify not only PII, PCI, and PHI with exceptional accuracy, but also sensitive information such as intellectual property and critical business documents that others may overlook. The result is stronger, more accurate classifications and access policies within the platform and across a customer’s entire security stack. And with continuous monitoring and remediation, risks like excessive permissions and misclassified data are handled automatically.
