IWG expands Brave search campaigns after finding incremental, high-intent demand beyond its established paid search channels

London, UK, 20th August 2026: Brave Browser & Search Engine, the independent, privacy-first browser and search engine, today revealed how IWG is using Brave to reach incremental, high-intent demand beyond the major search platforms, with performance significantly outperforming its established search channels.

IWG, the world’s largest flexible workspace provider and owner of the Regus office brand, maintains an always-on presence on the major paid search platforms to drive bookings for its workspaces and meeting rooms. Early in 2026, the company began looking for additional sources of demand that could complement its existing search activity and reach incremental audiences.

IWG subsequently tested Brave in the UK and US, using two search advertising formats: Keyword Triggered, which places an ad at the top of Brave Search results for relevant queries, and Organic Triggered, which turns a brand’s existing organic search listing into a paid search placement.

IWG’s ROI through Brave is currently 51% higher than through Microsoft, while its enquiry-to-deal rate is 10%, 53% higher than through Microsoft.

Following the initial test, IWG has expanded its Brave campaigns, and they are now running continuously across five markets.

“Search is spreading across more places than ever before,” said Loïc Blanchard, Head of Performance Marketing – Paid Search & AI at IWG. “Privacy-focused browsers and independent search engines are building real audiences of their own, made up of people we were not reaching through the usual channels. Brave is one of those places, and being there first means we are in front of these users while the space is still new.

“The traffic it is driving is incremental to our existing platforms, which remain a key part of our plans. It is also high-quality and highly efficient.”

“Brave has demonstrated its strength against traditional search engines, clearly showing the higher-quality audiences available with much higher intent, which is why we are continuing to expand our efforts into more markets,” said Ananda De Abreu, IWG Global Senior Paid Search Manager.

“IWG is a great example of what happens when major advertisers look beyond the established search platforms for incremental demand,” said Andy Squire, RVP Sales EMEA at Brave. “The results demonstrate the quality and intent of the audience on Brave, and we’re delighted that IWG has chosen to expand its campaigns following the initial test.”

About Brave Browser & Search Engine

Brave is helping brands and agencies navigate the future of digital advertising in a privacy-first world. It is redefining how advertisers connect with audiences through a browser and search engine built on transparency, user control, and performance.

The Brave browser is used by over 117 million people worldwide. It blocks third-party ads and trackers by default for fast, private browsing. It also offers a wealth of helpful features including a VPN and an AI browsing assistant. Brave is one of just three web search indexes at scale in the West, and it’s the only one commercially available in a reliable, independent Search API. It provides users with accurate, AI-enhanced answers without profiling them. Brave Search is available as the default search engine in Brave, or via any other browser at search.brave.com

Brave is also reinventing digital advertising, with solus sponsored search result placements and the New Tab Takeover - a high-impact ad unit that offers a near-full-screen takeover of the new tab page on the Brave browser. Ads are served on the first new tab upon starting the browser, and on every third new tab thereafter. With these placements, advertisers get access to engaged, otherwise unreachable audiences.
