RevelAi Health closes $3.1M seed round led by Ulu Ventures, Symphonic Capital.
AI platform automates care coordination for musculoskeletal disorders.
Aligns with CMS’s Transforming Episode Accountability Model for value-based care.
Reduces readmissions and care gaps, especially for underserved patients.
Enhances clinical workflows with 24/7 virtual care navigation.
Funds to expand EHR integrations and grow engineering, research teams.
Musculoskeletal disorders account for over $420 billion in annual U.S. healthcare spending, with a projected physician shortage of 86,000 by 2036. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is pushing hospitals toward mandatory value-based payment models by 2030. “Musculoskeletal care is shifting from single-visit encounters to population-level accountability just as clinical teams are stretched thin,” said Christian Pean, MD, MS, orthopedic trauma surgeon, faculty member at the Duke-Margolis Institute for Health Policy, and Founder & Chief Executive Officer of RevelAi Health.
RevelAi’s platform serves as a 24/7 virtual care navigator, streamlining orthopedic workflows. It provides evidence-based triage, collects quality reporting data via voice or text, and generates structured clinical notes with automated risk flags. The system supports CMS’s Transforming Episode Accountability Model (TEAM) by triggering Principal Care Management, Transitional Care Management, and preoperative optimization tasks. “RevelAi’s AI agents close care gaps, curb avoidable emergency department visits, and simplify quality reporting—without adding staff,” said Ronald Delanois, MD, Chairman of the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics at LifeBridge Health in Baltimore, Maryland.
RevelAi’s AI ensures guideline-concordant recommendations, refined by a board-certified orthopedic advisory group. “From my perspective, conversational AI is essential for succeeding in value-based mandates like the Transforming Episode Accountability Model,” said Joseph Zuckerman, MD, Chair of Orthopedic Surgery at NYU Langone Health. The platform reduces readmissions, improves outcomes for underserved patients, and supports population-level orthopedic health.
“RevelAi has already automated thousands of care conversations,” said Clint Korver, Managing Director at Ulu Ventures. “They’re proving AI-powered orchestration can scale now, lightening clinicians’ workload and elevating the patient experience.” The $3.1M will deepen electronic health record (EHR) and practice-management integrations, expand AI-driven outcome surveys, and foster collaborations with health systems and ambulatory surgery centers. “We’re building the AI console that turns every touchpoint into coordinated action,” said Hadi Javeed, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer.
RevelAi Health’s seed funding positions it to transform musculoskeletal care delivery. By leveraging AI to align with value-based care models, the platform empowers providers to deliver efficient, equitable, and high-quality orthopedic care while addressing critical industry challenges.
