Altana has acquired Cervo AI, a provider of agentic customs entry technology, to expand its AI-powered global trade platform. The acquisition enables Altana to offer logistics providers a unified solution for managing the complete customs brokerage workflow, from product classification and compliance to automated customs entry preparation.
Customs brokerage remains one of the most manual processes in global trade, requiring brokers to classify products, determine country of origin, calculate duties, verify trade program eligibility, and prepare regulatory filings using data collected from multiple sources.
With the acquisition of Cervo AI, Altana adds automated customs entry writing to its existing AI platform, enabling logistics providers to manage customs brokerage workflows through a single agentic system.
According to the company, the combined platform delivers an integrated solution that supports customs compliance from product classification through shipment clearance.
Prior to the acquisition, Altana's platform focused on identifying goods, mapping supply chain provenance, and assigning customs compliance attributes.
Cervo AI adds automation for creating submission-ready customs entries, including Partner Government Agency (PGA) filings, by processing unstructured transactional information.
