TwelveLabs, a leader in video understanding technology, has announced a suite of product advancements and ecosystem partnerships at the NAB Show 2026. The releases mark the company’s evolution from an infrastructure provider to a full-stack platform capable of delivering end-to-end video intelligence. As video data now accounts for 90% of global information, TwelveLabs is focusing on moving from raw footage to actionable insights with unprecedented speed. These new capabilities aim to transform how organizations and creators access and utilize the world’s most prolific medium.

Quick Intel

  • TwelveLabs transitions to a full-stack platform for end-to-end video intelligence.

  • Pegasus 1.5 introduces Time-Based Metadata Extraction for structured temporal data.

  • Rodeo is launched as an AI-powered creative co-pilot for natural language editing.

  • Pegasus 1.5 reportedly outperforms Gemini 2.5 Pro by 30% in segmentation benchmarks.

  • A new partnership integrates TwelveLabs intelligence into Autodesk Flow Capture.

  • AI agents are now embedded directly into creative workflows with no technical integration.

Advancing Video Foundation Models

The launch of Pegasus 1.5 represents a significant breakthrough in video foundation models by introducing Time-Based Metadata Extraction. This feature allows the model to discover temporal boundaries and extract structured metadata according to customer-defined schemas with a single API call. By interpreting video with a level of contextual understanding similar to a human editor, Pegasus 1.5 can identify specific brand appearances or key thematic moments without manual tagging. This capability is already in production with major broadcast networks, turning massive archives into instantly searchable assets.

AI Agents in Creative Production

TwelveLabs has introduced Rodeo, its first application-layer product designed specifically for the creator economy. Rodeo functions as an AI-powered co-pilot that enables users to find, edit, and assemble footage using natural language commands. By removing labor-intensive technical constraints, the tool allows creators to move from raw footage to finished stories in minutes. The platform introduces AI agents directly into the workflow to surface relevant clips and suggest edits, empowering creative teams to focus on storytelling rather than manual file management.

Deep Integration with Autodesk

TwelveLabs is also extending its intelligence capabilities into industry-standard tools through a partnership with Autodesk. By powering Smart Search and Smart Actions within Autodesk Flow Capture, TwelveLabs allows production teams to search video libraries using natural language. Automated workflows now tag, organize, and route media the moment it is uploaded, eliminating manual effort and streamlining collaboration between production and post-production teams. This integration ensures that creative professionals can jump to exact moments in their footage instantly, maintaining focus on the creative process.

"With Pegasus 1.5, Rodeo, and our integrations with industry leaders, we're transitioning from understanding video to operationalizing it at scale," said Jae Lee, CEO and co-founder of TwelveLabs. "This will transform how we use and experience what has become the most prolific medium on the planet."

"Creative teams shouldn't have to hunt for their footage," said Hugh Calveley, Sr. Director of Product Management at Autodesk. "With TwelveLabs powering Flow Capture's Smart Search and Smart Actions, teams can search video the way they think and stay focused on what matters most: the story."
