Mehta to scale commerce media networks across fintech, retail, and travel.
Mehta’s appointment comes on the heels of Nift’s partnership with Klarna, building on its earlier collaboration with Cash App Afterpay, reflecting a shift in consumer fintech toward native ad inventory. “Commerce media can’t follow the same playbook as retail media,” said Mehta. “Nift’s AI platform lets CMNs drive passive revenue and create incremental ad inventory that feels completely native.” His experience scaling TubeMogul to IPO and acquisition by Adobe positions him to lead Nift’s next growth phase.
Nift’s two-sided ad marketplace enables platforms in finance, fitness, retail, and travel to monetize their commerce media network (CMN) inventory while offering personalized customer experiences. Its “Nift” gifts, delivered at up to 20 customer journey touchpoints, achieve conversion rates of up to 10%, far surpassing the 1-3% of traditional digital ads. Among recipients, 88% rate their gift positively, and 70% plan to reuse the brand.
Nift’s AI technology surprises and delights consumers with exclusive thank-you gifts, fostering loyalty and engagement. “We’re extremely pleased to welcome Saket Mehta as our first CRO,” said Elery Pfeffer. “His track record makes him the ideal leader to drive our next stage of revenue growth.” The platform’s flexibility allows partners to deliver gifts via email, push notifications, or in-app actions, enhancing brand sentiment.
With prior roles at Gopuff, Chartboost, and Quibi, Mehta brings deep expertise in commerce media and adtech. He holds a BS in Business and Finance from Miami University, where he serves as an adjunct professor. His leadership will focus on expanding Nift’s commerce partner and DTC brand networks, capitalizing on the growing demand for native ad solutions.
