Brandi AI™, the leading platform for enterprise AI visibility and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), has released its AI Visibility Index for the CRM Market Universe. This inaugural report in the new AI Visibility Index™ research series analyzes how leading AI answer engines—such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and others—understand, source, cite, and explain CRM brands based on their treatment in generative AI results.
The index examines more than 17,264 AI-generated answers to high-intent buyer prompts, collected daily over 30 days across seven AI platforms: ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, Grok, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, and Perplexity. The findings provide a point-in-time snapshot of how AI shapes buyer perception and category narrative in the CRM space.
"For marketers, AI visibility requires a completely new lens," said Leah Nurik, CEO and co-founder of Brandi AI. "AI answer engines don't retrieve links—they assemble contextual answers. In doing that, they decide which brands are trusted as evidence, which help explain the category and which are interchangeable. Our AI Visibility Index shows, in clear and measurable terms, how AI is utilizing and referencing brands and sources so companies and fellow market enthusiasts can understand how AI is explaining the space, the themes and the brands that are in the conversation."
The report highlights a shift in how buyers form perceptions: AI engines synthesize responses from diverse sources rather than directing users to links. Brands that appear frequently, provide authoritative context, or control narrative share gain significant influence in AI-mediated discovery.
Salesforce leads across key metrics that shape buyer understanding, including how often it is referenced in unprompted brand questions (GEO awareness) and its narrative presence when multiple competitors appear in the same answer (GEO Share of Voice).
Intercom demonstrated rapid momentum, achieving one of the fastest visibility gains observed in the CRM universe. Media sources also play a critical role, with PCMag emerging as the single most cited external link and Solutions Review showing explosive citation growth from targeted content.
The diversity of top-cited sources—spanning corporate websites, traditional media, peer review platforms, and user-generated content—illustrates the broad authority signals AI engines draw upon when constructing answers about CRM solutions.
