As video podcasting continues to reshape digital media consumption, Getty Images and Goalhanger have expanded their content partnership to support the growing demand for visual storytelling. The collaboration gives Goalhanger scalable access to Getty Images' editorial, archival, and creative collections, enabling richer, video-first experiences across its portfolio of popular podcasts and multi-platform content.
Getty Images announced an expanded partnership with Goalhanger, the largest independent podcast producer outside the United States, as podcast consumption increasingly shifts toward video-first experiences.
The collaboration provides Goalhanger with scalable access to Getty Images' extensive visual content library, allowing the company to integrate trusted editorial, archival, and creative imagery into its expanding portfolio of video-led programming.
As audiences consume podcasts across streaming services, social media, and digital platforms, creators are increasingly enhancing traditional audio formats with visual storytelling.
The expanded agreement builds on the companies' existing relationship, which has already supported The Rest Is Football, one of Goalhanger's flagship multi-platform media brands.
Getty Images previously supplied near-live imagery from the FIFA World Cup for the show's daily Netflix programming, demonstrating how visual content can enhance sports storytelling across multiple channels.
The latest partnership broadens that collaboration to support Goalhanger's wider portfolio as demand for video podcasts continues to grow.
The companies say evolving audience preferences are driving greater demand for visual experiences alongside traditional podcast listening.
By combining trusted visual assets with established podcast brands, the partnership aims to help creators produce more engaging, immersive content that reaches viewers across multiple digital platforms.
“We're thrilled to be extending our partnership with Goalhanger at a time when video is accelerating podcast growth,” said Paul Davis, Vice President Media EMEA at Getty Images. “Audiences increasingly expect stories to be experienced visually as well as heard. By combining trusted voices with trusted visuals, creators can build richer, more engaging experiences across platforms and reach audiences wherever they choose to consume content.”
Goalhanger says access to Getty Images' extensive content collections will strengthen its ability to create compelling visual narratives as more audiences choose to watch podcasts in addition to listening.
The partnership supports the company's broader strategy of expanding video-first storytelling while maintaining consistent content experiences across streaming platforms, social media, and digital channels.
"As more people choose to watch our shows as well as listen to them, visuals are becoming an increasingly important part of the storytelling experience," said Sam Oakley, Chief Digital Officer from Goalhanger. "Working with Getty Images gives us access to an extraordinary breadth of content that helps us bring stories to life and create deeper engagement with audiences across platforms."
