Connectively, the journalist request platform connecting subject-matter experts with journalists and publishers, has surpassed 100,000 users following its revival under Featured, the AI co-pilot for PR. The milestone highlights the platform’s growing role in helping experts secure media opportunities while supporting publishers with expert-driven content.

The platform was discontinued in 2024 under previous ownership before being acquired by Featured in 2025 and relaunched in 2026. Since the revival, Connectively has continued expanding its user base while strengthening its position in the journalist request and media sourcing ecosystem.

Connectively Expands Its Journalist Request Platform

Connectively was relaunched after Featured acquired the discontinued platform and migrated its own existing infrastructure, including workflows, subscriptions, profiles, and media opportunities, into the Connectively brand ecosystem.

The company stated that the platform now helps more than 2,500 publishers fill editorial content gaps with expert-driven contributions while enabling experts to respond directly to journalist requests through a centralized platform.

As a journalist request platform, Connectively allows users to browse media opportunities, filter requests by topic or publication, and submit pitches directly within the platform environment. Publishers, in turn, gain access to verified expert commentary and ready-to-publish insights.

“Connectively was discontinued before we acquired it, and bringing it back was a deliberate choice,” said Brett Farmiloe, founder and CEO of Featured. “There's a large community of experts and publishers who prefer to source media opportunities inside a platform, and surpassing 100,000 users tells us Connectively isn't just back — it's growing. It's here to stay as a journalist request platform within Featured's portfolio.”

Featured Expands Its AI-Powered PR Portfolio

The growth of Connectively aligns with Featured’s broader strategy to expand AI-powered PR and media visibility tools for professionals and brands. Featured officially launched on June 2, 2026 as an AI co-pilot for PR focused on helping organizations improve media placements, strengthen brand authority, and increase AI search visibility.

Connectively now operates alongside Help a Reporter Out (HARO), the email-based journalist request service that Featured revived in 2025. Together, the platforms provide two distinct ways for experts and PR professionals to connect with journalists and publishers.

While Connectively focuses on platform-based opportunity management, HARO continues operating through email-driven media requests and journalist outreach.

Growing Demand for Expert-Led Content and PR Platforms

The continued growth of Connectively reflects increasing demand for expert-led content, journalist collaboration tools, and AI-driven PR visibility platforms. As publishers seek credible insights and subject-matter expertise across industries, platforms that streamline media sourcing workflows are becoming increasingly important within modern digital PR strategies.

By combining platform-based sourcing through Connectively with email-driven outreach via HARO, Featured is positioning itself as a broader ecosystem for PR professionals, journalists, and industry experts seeking media engagement opportunities at scale.
