PhotoShelter has expanded its digital asset management (DAM) platform with the launch of Live Stream Video Workflow, a new capability that enables organizations to capture, clip, distribute, and archive live video content from a single platform. The feature is designed to help sports teams, live event producers, and content creators publish highlight clips while broadcasts are still underway.

PhotoShelter Introduces Real-Time Live Video Workflow
PhotoShelter has announced Live Stream Video Workflow, a new addition to its digital asset management platform that streamlines the complete lifecycle of live video content. The capability enables organizations to ingest live broadcasts directly into PhotoShelter, create highlight clips during live events, and distribute them immediately across digital channels without manual file transfers.
Once a broadcast concludes, the platform automatically archives the complete recording while applying AI-generated metadata, transcription, and search capabilities.
"The people behind the cameras at these events are some of the most talented content creators in the world," said Christina Kyriazi, CMO of PhotoShelter. "They shouldn't have to wait until the event, game, or match is over to share what just happened. We built this so they can be in the moment with their fans, and so nothing from that broadcast ever goes to waste."
Supporting Real-Time Sports and Event Content
The new workflow is designed for sports organizations, live event producers, and content teams that need to deliver highlight moments while audiences are actively engaged.
Using PhotoShelter-generated ingest credentials or an existing broadcast source, organizations can connect live video feeds directly into the platform. Teams can then clip key moments during the event and immediately publish them through the integrated Socialie platform for real-time social media distribution.
The platform also supports scheduling live streams up to 365 days in advance, allowing organizations to prepare broadcasts well before event day.
AI Automates Video Organization and Search
After the live event ends, PhotoShelter automatically records and archives the full broadcast within its digital asset management platform.
The completed recording is enhanced with AI-powered metadata, including automated transcription, AI Visual Search (AIVS), and PeopleID recognition. These capabilities identify individuals and visual content throughout the recording, making archived video assets searchable without requiring manual tagging.
By combining live ingestion, in-event clipping, AI-powered organization, and long-term asset management, PhotoShelter aims to eliminate fragmented workflows that traditionally require multiple platforms for production, publishing, and storage.
The new capability extends PhotoShelter's DAM platform across the entire live video lifecycle, supporting organizations that require rapid content distribution while maintaining searchable, AI-enriched media archives.
