Roqad, Europe’s leading identity aggregator and data onboarding partner, has acquired Zeotap-Data, the third-party audience business of Zeotap, for an undisclosed amount. This strategic acquisition combines Roqad’s advanced identity graphs with Zeotap-Data’s extensive audience segments, delivering privacy-compliant, high-precision targeting for advertisers across major platforms.

Quick Intel

  • Roqad acquires Zeotap-Data to bolster privacy-safe advertising solutions.

  • Combines Roqad’s identity graphs with Zeotap-Data’s audience segments.

  • Enables targeting via Amazon DSP, The Trade Desk, and Adform.

  • Initial markets include UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, and France; US and APAC expansion planned for Q3 2025.

  • Retains all staff, with 20% headcount increase in UK and Germany.

  • Enhances Roqad Link, a data collaboration service on AWS Clean Rooms.

Strengthening Privacy-Compliant Advertising

The acquisition addresses the growing demand for privacy-safe, personalized targeting. By integrating Roqad’s cutting-edge identity graphs and data onboarding capabilities with Zeotap-Data’s large-scale third-party audience segments and exclusive Amazon DSP integration, advertisers gain enhanced scale, accuracy, and seamless activation. “The strengths of Roqad and Zeotap-Data perfectly complement each other in addressing the critical challenges of privacy-compliant identity resolution, data onboarding, and data activation in digital advertising,” said Carsten Frien, Founder and CEO of Roqad.

Expanded Market Reach and Capabilities

Advertisers can now enrich their first-party data with Zeotap-Data’s segments and activate them across platforms like Amazon DSP, The Trade Desk, and Adform. Initial benefits will be seen in the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, and France, with expansion to the US and APAC planned for Q3 2025. Roqad’s existing clients, including Microsoft Advertising, Samsung Ads, and Nielsen, will leverage these enhanced capabilities. Zeotap-Data will operate under the Roqad brand, integrated into Roqad Link’s AWS Clean Rooms for secure data collaboration.

Strategic Focus for Zeotap

The deal allows Zeotap to focus entirely on its Customer Data Platform (CDP), strengthening its position as Europe’s leading CDP provider. “The exclusive partnership with Roqad means we will be maintaining and enhancing our competitive edge in the CDP space through making Audience Boost the leading Audience Expansion solution in the CDP market,” said Elad Simon, CEO of Zeotap. This partnership ensures Zeotap’s clients benefit from Roqad’s identity solutions while prioritizing CDP innovation.

Workforce and Future Growth

The acquisition retains all current staff from both companies, with a 20% headcount increase planned in the UK and Germany to support expanded operations. This move underscores Roqad’s commitment to scaling its privacy-first solutions in a cookieless world, driving greater ROI for advertisers.

Roqad’s acquisition of Zeotap-Data positions it as a leader in privacy-compliant digital advertising, offering unmatched targeting precision and market reach. For more details, visit https://www.roq.ad.
