Pelgo, an AI-powered career transition agent, has secured $5.5 million in seed funding to accelerate its mission of guiding workers into AI-driven job roles. The round was led by Flybridge Capital Partners, with participation from ENIAC Ventures, Primary Venture Partners, and 645 Ventures. The funds will support product development, team expansion in AI and engineering, and go-to-market efforts ahead of the platform's initial launch in early February.
The funding comes as AI continues to reshape industries, creating new job categories while displacing others. Pelgo's platform seeks to bridge this gap by providing intelligent, supportive career navigation that combines AI capabilities with human expertise. This approach makes effective reskilling and job placement more affordable and scalable compared to traditional outplacement services, which have often been limited to higher-level roles.
Pelgo's AI-powered agent helps users—from those impacted by layoffs to new graduates and mid-career professionals—transition into emerging AI-first roles. By pairing AI-driven tools for skill assessment, reskilling recommendations, and job matching with personalized human counseling, the platform delivers comprehensive support. This model improves outcomes for career pivots into data analysis, content creation, and other AI-impacted fields while reducing costs significantly.
The company emphasizes compassionate guidance during challenging career moments, ensuring users receive tailored paths into the evolving job market. Pelgo positions itself as a full-service solution that companies and universities can offer broadly, regardless of size or budget.
“Few opportunities are more significant than the future of employment in an AI-driven world. Pelgo has built a full-service agent that makes high-quality career pathing affordable for any company or university to offer, regardless of budget,” said Chieh Huang, CEO and Cofounder of Pelgo. “Historically, these transition services were reserved for managers and executives; by materially improving quality and drastically lowering costs, we are ensuring that every displaced worker has a guided path into the new job categories created by AI.”
“We invested in Pelgo because they have a strong sense of how the workforce is evolving at a macro level, while developing tools that empower the individual,” said Jesse Middleton, general partner at Flybridge Capital Partners. “AI is transforming every industry, economy and job role, and we believe in Pelgo’s approach that centers human potential.”
With this seed round, Pelgo is positioned to launch its product and expand its impact on workforce reskilling amid rapid AI adoption.
