PayrollOrg (PAYO) will celebrate National Payroll Week (NPW) 2025 from September 1–5. This annual event honors both America’s workers and the payroll professionals who ensure accurate, timely pay—while also providing valuable financial education, scholarship opportunities, and prize giveaways.

“National Payroll Week honors the vital contributions of payroll professionals and America's workers,” said Dan Maddux, Executive Director of PayrollOrg.
Together, payroll professionals and employees collect and contribute 66% of the U.S. Treasury’s annual revenue, funding critical programs such as infrastructure, healthcare, and national defense.
A major focus of NPW is educating workers and young adults about paychecks. PAYO’s Money Matters program reaches thousands of students each year, teaching them paycheck fundamentals and financial basics.
This year, in partnership with Chime Workplace, PayrollOrg will also award three scholarships to students pursuing education at universities, colleges, and technical institutions.
“Understanding how a paycheck works is one of the first steps toward building a strong financial foundation,” said Maddux. “Through the Money Matters program, we empower young adults to confidently manage earnings and plan for the future.”
During National Payroll Week, participants can take the 2025 “Getting Paid in America” survey at nationalpayrollweek.com. The survey explores payroll trends—and one lucky participant will win a bonus paycheck plus extra money for food and fuel through 2025.
