BambooHR has introduced BambooHR On-Demand Pay, a new embedded financial solution powered by Clair that enables eligible employees to access earned wages before payday. The launch reflects the growing demand for flexible financial wellness tools as organizations look to improve employee satisfaction, retention and overall workforce experience.
Integrated directly into BambooHR Payroll and the BambooHR mobile app, the solution provides employees with faster access to earned income without requiring credit checks, loans or employer-funded advances.
BambooHR stated that rising living costs and financial uncertainty are increasing demand for earned wage access solutions. According to the company’s 2025 BambooHR Compensation Trends Report, nearly 50% of employees are struggling with the rising cost of living, making financial flexibility a growing priority for employers.
To address these challenges, BambooHR partnered with fintech company Clair to deliver a seamless earned wage access experience directly within its HR and payroll ecosystem.

BambooHR On-Demand Pay is designed to simplify access to earned wages while minimizing administrative overhead for HR teams. Employees can enroll within minutes and access available earnings directly through the BambooHR desktop or mobile app without relying on separate third-party systems.
The solution includes automated payroll synchronization, enabling repayment management through Clair and linked employee bank accounts. BambooHR emphasized that the offering does not create employer liability or impact company cash flow.
Employees can choose between free transfers that arrive within one to three business days or instant transfers for a $4.99 fee. Since the advances are based on earned wages rather than borrowed income, the service does not involve credit checks, interest charges or late fees.
Clair highlighted the partnership as part of its broader effort to modernize employee payroll access and improve financial wellness for workers.
