Alight has announced a transition in its finance leadership, appointing Greg Giometti as Interim Chief Financial Officer effective January 9, 2026. Giometti, currently Senior Vice President and Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, will succeed Jeremy Heaton, who is departing the company to pursue an opportunity outside the benefits administration industry.

The company will conduct a search for a permanent CFO while Giometti serves in the interim role.

Greg Giometti brings a deep understanding of Alight's operations to the interim CFO role. Since joining in 2020, he has held positions of increasing responsibility, most recently leading management and board financial reporting, annual and long-range planning, and supporting enterprise-wide financial strategy. His direct experience overseeing key aspects of the company's technology transformation and business divestitures is seen as a foundation for a smooth transition period.
Jeremy Heaton's departure concludes nearly six years with Alight, a period that included the company's transition to a public entity. Leadership acknowledged his critical role in simplifying the organization, improving capital efficiency, and strengthening the company's overall financial foundation as it evolved its cloud-based human capital technology offerings.
The company has indicated it will conduct a formal search for a permanent Chief Financial Officer.
