Growing Demand for Global Employment Infrastructure

Remote stated that enterprises are increasingly treating global employment infrastructure as a strategic business foundation rather than an operational back-office function.

The company currently supports tens of thousands of organizations, including Anthropic, KFC and Datadog, through solutions covering Global Payroll, Employer of Record (EOR) and Contractor Management.

Remote also powers global employment functionality for major HR platforms including BambooHR, Workday and Personio.

“We deeply value our partnership with Remote so our customers do not need to choose between an HR experience they love and the ability to hire and pay people anywhere,” said Brian Crofts, Chief Product Officer at BambooHR. “Remote's global employment infrastructure is what makes that possible inside BambooHR, and opening it up to the broader ecosystem is a significant step forward for how businesses manage global teams.”

The company stated that it now operates more than 100 owned legal entities globally, regulated payment institutions across key markets and processes billions of dollars in payroll annually.

Expanding Infrastructure for AI and Workforce Platforms

As AI adoption reshapes workforce management and enterprise software development, Remote announced the expansion of its infrastructure platform to support partners, developers and AI agents.

The company introduced:

  • Remote MCP: A secure infrastructure layer enabling AI agents to access payroll, contracts, compliance data and organizational information without requiring API keys or custom integrations.
  • Remote Build: A service offering customized implementation and infrastructure support for organizations building on Remote’s platform.

Remote stated that the infrastructure is designed to support compliant and accurate global employment processes whether companies access it directly, through APIs or via third-party HR systems.

Remote Positions Itself as the Infrastructure Layer for Global Hiring

The company emphasized that its long-term strategy centers on becoming the foundational infrastructure powering global employment operations across enterprises and HR technology ecosystems.

“At our core, we have always been in the business of trust: making sure people get paid correctly, compliantly, and with dignity, wherever they are in the world,” said Job van der Voort, co-founder and CEO of Remote. “That trust comes with getting the hard things right, consistently, at scale. That is exactly what we have spent years doing: building the infrastructure, the compliance depth, and the owned entities that make it possible to get this right, in every country, every time. Opening that up to the world is the next step, and we are just getting started.”

Remote stated that the latest infrastructure expansion is intended to help businesses build AI-powered HR workflows, automate compliance operations and integrate employment data into broader workforce systems more efficiently.

AI and Global Workforce Trends Drive Market Expansion

The company noted that rising demand for cross-border hiring, combined with increasing regulatory complexity, is accelerating the need for scalable employment infrastructure platforms.

Remote’s latest announcements reflect broader industry trends toward AI-enabled HR operations, global workforce digitization and API-driven employment ecosystems capable of supporting distributed teams at enterprise scale.
