Multiverse, Europe's only EdTech unicorn and largest AI upskilling platform, has completed the acquisition of StackFuel, Germany's leading provider of data and AI training. The move aims to accelerate workforce development in Europe's largest economy by combining Multiverse's advanced AI-driven learning capabilities with StackFuel's established presence and high-completion programs in the German market. The combined entity has set an immediate target to train 100,000 German workers in AI skills.

  • Multiverse acquires StackFuel to scale AI and data upskilling in Germany, targeting 100,000 workers trained in AI skills.
  • StackFuel, serving major clients like Mercedes Benz, IAV, and Telefónica, boasts a 92% program completion rate and joins Multiverse's leadership under founders Leo Marose and Stefan Berntheisel.
  • The deal supports Germany's ambition to become an AI nation by closing the skills gap, with IAB research projecting AI could add up to €4.5 trillion to GDP over 15 years.
  • Multiverse brings AI-aligned, coach-supported programs and European expansion, including AZAV-accredited courses in Germany since 2025.
  • StackFuel addresses a key barrier: 70% of German workers receive no AI training, limiting technology adoption and productivity gains.
  • The acquisition concludes StackFuel's funding process and aligns with Multiverse's strategy to expand across Europe as part of the EU-AI Champions Initiative.

The partnership unites Multiverse's expertise in personalized, goal-oriented upskilling—delivered through AI-powered learning and human coaching—with StackFuel's proven track record delivering high-quality data and AI training tailored to the German corporate landscape. Together, the companies aim to rapidly equip individuals and organizations with the competencies needed to harness AI for enhanced productivity, new role creation, and sustained economic competitiveness.

"Germany can prosper in the age of AI, but what is holding us back isn't desire or technology, it's the skills of individual workers to make use of new technology. 70 percent of workers in Germany are not offered any AI training and thus lack the ability to fully embrace its possibility. We have built StackFuel to become Germany's leading online training provider in data and AI. Joining forces with Multiverse now gives us the resources to deliver critical training necessary for workers at an even larger scale, matching the urgency of the challenge. For this reason, we as founders decided to combine our strengths with Multiverse," said Leo Marose, Co-founder and CEO of StackFuel.

Multiverse partners with over 1,500 global companies to deliver upskilling programs aligned to strategic business objectives. The acquisition strengthens its footprint in Germany, where it has offered accredited training since 2025, and supports broader European growth efforts.

"There is no more urgent mission than equipping the workforce to win in the AI era. Whether it's capturing AI's potential productivity enhancements, or mitigating the risks of labor market transformation, our economies require AI skills at every level of the workforce. Leo and Stefan have built an outstanding product that answers the challenge and is already used by some of Germany's most recognised brands. The StackFuel team should be incredibly proud of what they've built, and excited about the journey to scale that we are embarking on together," said Euan Blair, Founder and CEO of Multiverse.

This strategic combination positions the merged organization to address Germany's AI skills shortage at scale, driving both individual career advancement and national economic progress in an increasingly AI-dependent landscape.
