Nilka Thomas, a veteran people leader from Lyft and Google, has joined the company as its new Chief People Officer. Thomas brings a wealth of highly relevant experience from two of the world's most prominent technology companies. Her most recent role was as Chief People Officer at Lyft, where she led the people function through the company's initial public offering and its subsequent journey as a new public entity. Prior to Lyft, she spent more than a decade at Google, holding senior HR leadership roles focused on global staffing, culture, and inclusion initiatives. This background provides her with deep perspective on building and sustaining innovative cultures during periods of rapid growth and transformation.
