Finastra has announced the launch of Data Insights 2.0, a new analytics solution designed to help mortgage lenders improve application-to-loan conversion rates through deeper operational visibility and benchmarking insights. Available for Originate Mortgagebot, the platform is intended to help banks and credit unions identify performance bottlenecks, optimize borrower journeys, and make more data-driven lending decisions.
The solution provides lenders with detailed insights into how borrowers move through mortgage application processes, including where applications stall or are abandoned. Finastra said the platform is designed to replace fragmented reporting methods with more actionable operational intelligence.
According to Finastra, mortgage lenders continue to face challenges around borrower drop-offs, application friction, and limited visibility into operational inefficiencies. Data Insights 2.0 was developed to help lenders identify and address those issues using real-time analytics and benchmarking data.
The platform allows lenders to monitor how borrowers progress through mortgage application workflows and identify the exact stages where users abandon applications. Finastra said this helps financial institutions take targeted action to improve customer experience and operational performance.
The company also noted that the platform includes peer and industry benchmarking capabilities using anonymized data from more than 1,000 mortgage originators, enabling lenders to compare performance against market standards.
Data Insights 2.0 includes operational dashboards with drill-down capabilities designed to help teams quickly move from analytics to action. The platform delivers metrics related to application exit points, conversion rates, borrower demographics, credit score distributions, loan-to-value ratios, and underwriting performance.
Additional features include channel performance metrics, submission timing analysis, geographic heat maps, and export functionality for operational reporting.
"We knew we were losing applicants at specific points in our process, but we couldn't figure out why," said Brenda Stoerkel, Vice President, Mortgage Production Manager at United Bank.
"Data Insights showed us exactly where the process was breaking down. By fixing our mobile experience, and adjusting our communication timing, we saw our completion rates improve. Having the right information to make better decisions makes both our operations and our borrower experience stronger."
Finastra stated that the platform is designed to help lenders not only improve internal efficiency but also streamline the borrower experience by reducing friction across mortgage application workflows.
For borrowers, this could result in faster approval timelines, improved communication, and a more seamless mortgage process as lenders optimize digital experiences and operational workflows.
"Lenders have access to a considerable amount of data, but they need real insights to help them optimize their business," said Rick Foresta, Chief Product Officer for Lending at Finastra.
"We built Data Insights 2.0 to cut through the noise. It tells you what's actually happening in your mortgage pipeline and what you should do about it to make it easier for people to buy homes."
The launch reflects broader industry demand for analytics-driven lending technologies as financial institutions increasingly focus on operational transparency, borrower engagement, and digital mortgage modernization.
