CSI, a leading provider of end-to-end financial software and technology, announced the appointment of Abe Kuruvilla as its new Chief Information and Technology Officer to lead enterprise-wide technology strategy and modernization efforts.
CSI announced the appointment of veteran technology executive Abe Kuruvilla as Chief Information and Technology Officer. In this role, Kuruvilla will oversee the company’s architecture, engineering, and platform operations. His primary focus is modernizing CSI’s technology ecosystem to better drive customer acquisition, engagement, and sustainable growth for community and regional financial institutions.
Kuruvilla brings more than two decades of leadership in large-scale technology organizations and enterprise transformation. Most recently, he served as Chief Technology Officer at ACI Worldwide, where he guided the delivery and ongoing evolution of mission-critical payments solutions utilized by financial organizations globally.
Before ACI, Kuruvilla was Chief Information Officer at CoreLogic, leading a multi-year cloud migration, platform modernization initiative, and the development of AI-enabled products that earned him the 2021 HousingWire “Tech Trendsetter Award.” Earlier, as Divisional CIO at Dell Financial Services, he drove organizational transformation, crafted the company’s IT strategy, and developed its multi-year technology roadmap.
"We're building a leadership team with global experience and a deep understanding of the competitive pressures financial institutions face every day," said Nancy Langer, president and CEO of CSI. "Our job is simple: ensuring our customers have the solutions they need to compete and grow. Abe has spent his career doing exactly that at enterprise scale, which makes him an exceptional fit to lead CSI's evolving technology strategy.”
“Financial institutions of all sizes need solutions that are reliable, secure and designed to work together—not systems that add complexity,” Kuruvilla said. “CSI has a strong reputation as a trusted partner that enables banks and credit unions to harness their unique positions within their communities. I’m excited to bring my experience in AI and platform modernization to help CSI institutions drive growth and deepen engagement with their account holders."
Kuruvilla’s appointment comes on the heels of CSI’s acquisition of Apiture, a recognized digital banking solutions provider, and follows the company’s strategic reorganization. These moves strengthen CSI’s integrated platform, spanning deposits, lending, digital banking, and customer engagement capabilities to deliver more cohesive solutions for financial institutions.
