Mantle has released its H1 2026 performance update, highlighting significant progress across real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, decentralized finance (DeFi) liquidity, and emerging agentic finance infrastructure. The Layer 2 ecosystem reported over $1 billion in on-chain total value locked (TVL), positioning itself as a growing institutional-grade platform bridging traditional finance and blockchain-based markets.
The update reflects Mantle’s continued push to evolve beyond a conventional DeFi ecosystem into a full-stack financial infrastructure layer supporting tokenized equities, institutional liquidity flows, and AI-driven financial agents.
Mantle’s H1 2026 performance underscores accelerating institutional adoption of blockchain-based financial instruments. The ecosystem expanded its range of tokenized equities to over 155 assets, alongside more than $90 million in RWA-focused DeFi liquidity.
This expansion signals growing demand for on-chain access to traditional financial instruments, including equities and structured products, supported by improved liquidity infrastructure and trading mechanisms.
A major driver of Mantle’s growth has been its strengthened DeFi liquidity layer, which now supports lending markets, stablecoin flows, and institutional capital participation. The ecosystem also recorded rapid TVL growth across lending protocols, contributing to its milestone of surpassing $1 billion in total DeFi value locked.
This positions Mantle among the more active Layer 2 ecosystems focused on scaling real-world financial infrastructure rather than purely retail DeFi activity.
Beyond traditional DeFi, Mantle has been building foundational infrastructure for “agentic finance,” a system where autonomous AI agents can interact with financial protocols. This includes identity systems for agents, payment rails, and developer tooling for autonomous on-chain applications.
The ecosystem also saw strong developer engagement, with hundreds of submissions in AI-focused hackathons exploring next-generation financial automation use cases.
Looking ahead, Mantle plans to expand its ecosystem of tokenized assets, deepen integrations across lending and liquidity markets, and further develop infrastructure enabling AI-driven financial activity. The broader strategy focuses on creating a unified system where traditional financial assets and decentralized liquidity coexist seamlessly.
The H1 2026 results reflect a transition phase where real-world assets, institutional capital, and AI-driven systems are converging into a single on-chain financial stack.
About Mantle
Mantle positions itself as the premier distribution layer and gateway for institutions and TradFi to connect with on-chain liquidity and access real-world assets, powering how real-world finance flows. With over $2B+ in community-owned assets, Mantle combines credibility, liquidity and scalability with institutional-grade infrastructure to support large-scale adoption. The ecosystem is anchored by $MNT within Bybit, and built out through core ecosystem projects like mETH, fBTC, MI4 and more. This is complemented by Mantle's partnerships with leading issuers and protocols such as Ethena USDe, Ondo USDY, and OP-Succinct.
