Ping An Insurance has introduced a portfolio of artificial intelligence (AI) products and services at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference 2026 (WAIC 2026), expanding AI applications across healthcare, insurance, banking, and payments. The latest innovations support the company's "integrated finance + health and senior care" strategy by improving healthcare access, streamlining insurance operations, and enhancing AI-powered financial services.
Ping An has showcased a range of AI-powered innovations at WAIC 2026, highlighting the company's continued investment in healthcare, insurance, and financial technology. The new offerings are designed to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and healthcare accessibility through intelligent automation and AI-assisted services.
The latest announcements further strengthen Ping An's strategy of integrating financial services with healthcare and senior care through AI-driven technologies.
Ping An introduced its first disease-specific AI product portfolio aimed at supporting patients with cancer and other critical illnesses. The portfolio combines disease prediction, specialized insurance products, and the Peking University Healthcare AI Disease Manager to deliver end-to-end support across diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.
The disease prediction service helps identify individuals at elevated health risk, while disease-specific insurance extends protection to people with chronic illnesses and cancer. The AI Disease Manager connects patients with physicians, hospitals, and rehabilitation resources to support long-term care management.
The company also highlighted the continued expansion of AI Family Doctor, developed by Ping An Healthcare and Technology Company Limited (Ping An Good Doctor). Operating under an "AI + Physician" model, the service provides around-the-clock support for consultations, medication reminders, health report interpretation, and chronic disease management.
According to Ping An, the AI Doctor supports diagnosis across more than 11,300 diseases and serves nearly 12 million users annually, while the overall AI Family Doctor platform reaches approximately 90 million monthly active users.
Ping An Property & Casualty (Ping An P&C) reported achieving full AI coverage across its core business operations, improving overall operational efficiency by 80%.
The insurer has deployed AI throughout its insurance value chain, including customer service, underwriting, operations, marketing, and administration.
Among the newly highlighted capabilities is EagleX, an AI-powered risk mitigation platform that combines artificial intelligence with Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to monitor flood risks, assess catastrophe losses, and provide early warnings for natural disasters and other incidents.
Ping An P&C has also expanded intelligent policy issuance, with AI now automatically processing 93% of new vehicle insurance policies and reducing average processing times from six minutes to approximately 1.2 minutes.
The company further reported improvements in underwriting, where AI-assisted reviews have reduced initial assessment times to approximately 1.5 hours while increasing underwriter productivity and improving risk interception rates.
Ping An Bank Credit Card introduced a new AI credit card designed to support a variety of AI-related services. Beyond traditional banking features, customers can redeem reward points for AI computing resources, enabling access to AI applications and services.
The company also expanded its Express Service AI assistant, which supports customers across insurance, banking, securities, and healthcare businesses through voice and text interactions.
Serving approximately 251 million customers, the AI assistant enables users to conduct financial transactions, access financing services, and process insurance claims. Ping An reported that average monthly users have tripled over the past three months, with peak daily usage reaching approximately 1.1 million visits.
Ping An's latest AI initiatives demonstrate the company's continued investment in integrating artificial intelligence across healthcare, insurance, and financial services. By expanding AI-driven disease management, insurance automation, and digital banking capabilities, the company aims to enhance customer experiences while improving operational efficiency across its ecosystem.
