Strategic Acquisition Enhances IP Portfolio

Cadence, a leader in electronic design automation, has completed its acquisition of Arm’s Artisan foundation IP business, as announced on August 27, 2025. This strategic move bolsters Cadence’s design IP offerings, integrating standard cell libraries, memory compilers, and general-purpose I/Os (GPIOs) optimized for advanced process nodes at top foundries. The acquisition aligns with Cadence’s mission to enhance system-on-chip (SoC) design capabilities, addressing the growing demand for efficient, high-performance semiconductor solutions.
