Alpha School’s agreement to acquire proprietary educational materials and select campuses from Higher Ground Education marks a pivotal step in its expansion strategy. This acquisition allows Alpha to fast-track its growth timeline by nearly two years, leveraging high-value facilities previously operated by Guidepost Montessori. The move ensures Alpha maintains its commitment to delivering high-quality, innovative education while scaling to meet growing demand from parents nationwide.
The first new campus will open in August 2025 at the former Guidepost Montessori Fort Mason facility in San Francisco, located at 3741 Buchanan St, CA 94123. Alpha will host an information session for parents on July 22, 2025, at 6:30 PM PT to introduce its unique educational model. This campus marks the beginning of Alpha’s nationwide expansion, bringing its AI-driven approach to more communities.
Alpha School redefines education by combining adaptive AI technology with human coaching. Students complete core academics—reading, math, social studies, and English—in just two hours daily, using science-based AI software tailored to individual learning paces. A 2025 Stanford University study found Alpha students progress 1.8x faster in math and 1.5x faster in reading compared to traditional schools. This efficiency frees up afternoons for hands-on workshops focusing on practical skills like public speaking, teamwork, and entrepreneurship.
Alpha’s model emphasizes community involvement through its Founding Families program, where parents help shape each campus’s culture. “Our mission is to provide the world’s best education to as many children as possible—but we will never grow faster than our ability to deliver on our three core commitments to students,” said MacKenzie Price, Co-founder of Alpha School. Parents like Christy Bryan from Plano, Texas, are drawn to this non-traditional model, noting, “We’ve been following Alpha for a while and it’s exciting to learn they’re finally opening near us, just as our son is ready for school. We love the non-traditional model, it’s exactly what we want for his education.”
Alpha School’s acquisition and expansion reflect its commitment to transforming education in the AI era. By integrating advanced technology with real-world skill development, Alpha aims to create engaging, effective learning environments that inspire students and meet the needs of modern families.
Alpha School is redefining K–12 private education for the AI age. With a model built on adaptive technology, expert coaching and immersive workshops, Alpha students finish core academics in just two hours per day and spend the rest of their time mastering skills that matter most in the real world. Alpha currently operates schools in Austin, Brownsville and Miami, with 10 additional campuses opening nationwide by the end of 2025.
