Connection, a leading provider of information technology solutions across business, government, healthcare, and education markets, has announced the appointment of Matt Zafirovski as President and Chief Operating Officer, effective October 12, 2026. Zafirovski reports directly to Timothy McGrath, who continues to serve as the company’s Chief Executive Officer.
Matt Zafirovski joined Connection as President and Chief Operating Officer, effective October 12, 2026.
Timothy McGrath continues in his role as Chief Executive Officer after previously holding both the President and CEO titles.
Zafirovski brings over 15 years of leadership experience spanning technology, consulting, global operations, and business transformation.
He most recently served as CEO and COO of Tusker, where he helped nearly double revenue through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
His background includes senior advisory and operational roles with Groupon International, McKinsey & Company, Apple, Meadowood Associates, and Chicago Public Schools.
Zafirovski holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor's degree in public policy from Duke University.
Zafirovski arrives with a proven track record of scaling technology service organizations, expanding service capabilities, and driving profitability. In his previous leadership roles, he demonstrated a strong focus on customer-centric strategy and high-performing team development, making him well-positioned to help Connection accelerate its ongoing growth initiatives.
