Greenland Energy Company, an oil exploration firm focused on East Greenland’s Jameson Land Basin, has announced the appointment of Carol Craig to its Board of Directors, effective June 5, 2026. Craig joins as a Class I director, filling a board vacancy and will also serve on the Audit Committee.
The appointment comes as Greenland Energy continues preparations for its planned 2026 onshore drilling campaign in the Jameson Land Basin, a large underexplored licensed area in East Greenland. The company aims to apply modern exploration technologies to assess hydrocarbon potential in the region.
Carol Craig is the founder, CEO, and Chair of Sidus Space, a Nasdaq-listed space and defense technology company specializing in satellite manufacturing, AI-driven space data solutions, and mission operations. Her leadership experience includes scaling aerospace and defense ventures, taking Sidus Space public in 2021, and advancing satellite programs such as the LizzieSat series.
Her appointment brings cross-sector expertise spanning aerospace engineering, defense systems, AI-enabled data platforms, and public company governance—capabilities that Greenland Energy expects will support its operational and strategic development.
Before founding Sidus Space, Craig founded Craig Technologies in 1999, an aerospace and defense engineering firm focused on systems engineering, software development, and logistics services. Earlier in her career, she served as a U.S. Navy P-3 Orion Naval Flight Officer and was among the first women eligible to fly in combat aircraft roles.
Her academic background includes advanced degrees in computer science, electrical and computer engineering, and finance, along with ongoing doctoral studies in systems engineering.
Greenland Energy is an exploration-stage oil and gas company focused on unlocking hydrocarbon resources in the Jameson Land Basin, an approximately two-million-acre licensed onshore region in East Greenland. The company is preparing for its first modern drilling campaign planned for 2026, using updated exploration technologies to evaluate basin potential.
The addition of Craig to the board aligns with Greenland Energy’s focus on strengthening technical and governance capabilities as it advances toward this next phase of exploration activity.
Company leadership highlighted Craig’s blend of entrepreneurial experience, technical expertise, and public company governance as key strengths supporting Greenland Energy’s strategy. Her background in scaling complex technology organizations is expected to contribute to oversight and audit functions as well as broader strategic direction.
Craig emphasized her interest in frontier-focused opportunities, noting her experience in defense and space technology as aligned with Greenland Energy’s exploration ambitions in underdeveloped regions.
The company confirmed that Craig qualifies as an independent director under Nasdaq listing standards and meets requirements for service on the Audit Committee under applicable U.S. securities regulations.
