Team Cymru has appointed two veteran cybersecurity and SaaS leaders, Marc van Zadelhoff and Mark Lorion, as independent directors to its Board of Directors. Their extensive expertise in scaling global businesses, product strategy, go-to-market execution, and category leadership will support Team Cymru’s next phase of expansion and deepen its impact in threat intelligence.
Team Cymru’s threat intelligence platform, powered by Pure Signal™, delivers context-rich visibility beyond the network edge, reducing noise and enabling faster, more effective decision-making for defenders. The board appointments come at a pivotal time as the company accelerates growth amid an increasingly complex threat landscape.
With a proven track record of repositioning product portfolios and driving global go-to-market strategies, van Zadelhoff has led Mimecast’s international expansion and ecosystem deepening. His prior roles at Devo and LogMeIn involved significant scaling and multi-product transformations, while at IBM he built one of the world’s largest cybersecurity businesses. His focus on human behavior, ecosystem visibility, and decisive action aligns closely with Team Cymru’s mission.
“I have long believed that effective cybersecurity goes beyond infrastructure and must centre on human behaviour, ecosystem visibility and decisive action,” said Marc van Zadelhoff, Independent Director, Team Cymru. “With Team Cymru’s unique vantage point in threat intelligence and observability, the potential to shift from insight to impact is real. I am excited to partner with the leadership team and Board as we sharpen the product roadmap, deepen differentiation and bring intelligence into the hands of defenders who are protecting human life.”
Lorion excels in SaaS operations and high-growth environments, having led Tempo Software through rapid expansion, multiple acquisitions, and profitable scaling. His experience at Digital.ai, Arxan, and Apperian includes rebuilding product and marketing engines, repositioning offerings, and guiding successful exits. His skills in segmentation, pricing, partner strategy, and revenue systems design will help Team Cymru build repeatable demand and durable growth.
“At scale, SaaS companies succeed when product strategy and commercial execution are tightly aligned, with clear market positioning driving repeatable demand,” said Mark Lorion, Independent Director, Team Cymru. “Team Cymru is at a pivotal inflection point, as its intelligence platform, network effects, and community insight position it to protect customers by turning threat intelligence into decisive action. I look forward to working with the Board and leadership to sharpen the go-to-market engine and build predictable, durable growth in service of that mission.”
“Marc and Mark are exceptional leaders with rare depth across cybersecurity, SaaS operations, and modern go-to-market strategy. Their experience aligns directly with where Team Cymru is heading as we scale our threat intelligence capabilities and expand the reach of our community-driven initiatives,” said Joe Sander, CEO, Team Cymru. “Today’s threat landscape demands solutions that not only detect malicious activity but meaningfully disrupt it. With their guidance, we will continue advancing products and partnerships that move the needle for defenders globally. Their values are tightly aligned with our mission to save and protect human life, and we are honored to welcome them to our Board.”
