SailPoint, Inc., a leader in enterprise identity security, announced the expansion of its Identity University, an industry-leading online learning platform launched in 2017 and opened to the public in 2023. The revamped platform introduces hands-on labs, new certifications, and an improved user experience to address the global cybersecurity skills shortage, targeting 100,000 new identity security professionals by 2028.
The expanded Identity University introduces:

SailPoint will host Identity University: Skilled Sessions at Navigate Austin on October 2, 2025, offering hands-on labs, live demos, and Q&A with SailPoint Certified Engineers. The event, requiring an Identity University account and Navigate registration, focuses on technical expertise and certification prep. Attendees must bring laptops for hands-on activities, with limited seats available.
With 3.5 million unfilled cybersecurity jobs globally, Identity University’s expansion aligns with SailPoint’s mission to strengthen the talent pipeline. Since introducing the Identity Security Leader credential in 2024, certifications have quadrupled, with new offerings like the Identity Security Professional and Identity Security Engineer exams launched in February 2025.
The identity security market is projected to grow at 14.5% annually through 2028, driven by increasing data breaches and regulatory demands.
