Strengthens Duke’s digital resilience with ongoing support.
The partnership provides Duke University with complimentary access to Resecurity’s Context cloud-based cyber threat intelligence (CTI) platform, valued at $1 million per year. This enables students and faculty to engage in real-world threat detection and analysis scenarios, supporting lab exercises, research initiatives, and graduation projects. By incorporating industry-standard tools, the program ensures students gain hands-on experience with cybersecurity practices used by experts. “This collaboration with Resecurity allows our students to experience more of the cyber defense industry while they are still at Duke,” said Art Ehuan, Executive Director of the Duke Cybersecurity Master of Engineering program. “It’s not just about tools—it’s about developing the mindset to tackle rapidly evolving global threats.”
Beyond platform access, Resecurity will enhance Duke’s curriculum through specialized guest lectures and on-campus workshops focused on threat intelligence. The company will also advise on student capstone projects, offer internship opportunities, and provide technical support for faculty and lab activities. These efforts aim to bridge the gap between academic learning and the practical demands of the cybersecurity industry. “Resecurity is excited to support Duke in developing the next generation of cyber defenders,” said Shawn Loveland, Chief Operations Officer for Resecurity. “Academic partnerships are critical to bridging the gap between education and the realities of cybercrime and nation-state threats.”
Under the agreement, Resecurity will provide ongoing support to strengthen Duke’s digital resilience, including access to its Risk platform alongside Context. This support extends to developing school-based educational programs tailored to cybersecurity challenges, ensuring the university remains at the forefront of combating cyber threats. The integration of Resecurity’s technology and expertise begins immediately, with an expected impact on dozens of students in the upcoming academic year.
This partnership underscores Resecurity’s commitment to fostering the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. By combining Duke’s interdisciplinary approach—spanning technical, ethical, and policy dimensions—with Resecurity’s cutting-edge CTI tools, the collaboration prepares students to address sophisticated cyber threats in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
