Radware, a global leader in cloud application security, has announced a major expansion of its global defensive capabilities, doubling the mitigation capacity of its cloud security service network from 15 Terabits per second (Tbps) to 30 Tbps. This upgrade, powered by the latest generation of its DefensePro® X platform, is a direct response to the surge in massive, AI-driven DDoS attacks targeting enterprises.

  • Radware doubles its global cloud security mitigation capacity from 15 Tbps to 30 Tbps.

  • The upgrade deploys the next-generation DefensePro X DDoS mitigation platform across all cloud security centers.

  • The move counters an 85% year-over-year increase in network DDoS attacks observed in H1 2025.

  • Enhanced protection targets high-volume network attacks and complex application-layer assaults like HTTPS floods.

  • Radware's AI-powered web DDoS protection can mitigate attacks exceeding 50 million requests per second.

  • The global network mitigates attacks close to their origin for faster response and data residency compliance.

Responding to a Seismic Shift in the Threat Landscape

The capacity expansion is a strategic response to the rapidly evolving scale and sophistication of cyber threats. Attackers are increasingly leveraging AI-driven tools and sophisticated botnets to launch complex, multi-vector campaigns that are harder to detect and mitigate. Roy Zisapel, Radware president and CEO, explained the necessity, stating, "The global threat landscape is undergoing a seismic shift. Attackers are leveraging AI-driven tools, automation, and increasingly sophisticated botnets to launch massive, complex, highly disruptive, multi-vector DDoS campaigns that are harder to detect and mitigate. To help enterprises counter these rapidly evolving vulnerabilities, Radware has upgraded all cloud security centers to include DefensePro® X."

Protection Against Volume and Complexity

Radware's H1 2025 Global Threat Analysis reported an 85% increase in network DDoS attacks compared to the first half of 2024. Modern campaigns are not just about raw volume but also target applications with high-request-per-second (RPS) assaults like HTTPS floods. The upgraded DefensePro X platform, coupled with Radware's AI-powered web DDoS protection, is engineered to provide accurate detection and mitigation of these highly disruptive application attacks—exceeding 50 million RPS—while preserving legitimate traffic.

A Globally Distributed Defense Architecture

Radware's cloud security network is designed to mitigate attacks closest to their point of origin. This distributed architecture offers multiple benefits: it improves application response times for regional users, accelerates mitigation, and helps organizations comply with data residency regulations by processing traffic within geographic boundaries. The expanded 30 Tbps capacity across this global network ensures enterprises have enhanced resilience against the largest known DDoS campaigns, safeguarding their applications and online services from increasingly powerful and complex threats.
