Nisos’ research, based on 24 months of client engagements, highlights the ease with which cybercriminals can access executives’ personal information. The findings show that 98% of executives have property addresses publicly linked to their names, 92% have exterior home images available, and 88% have interior photos or floor plans exposed online. These vulnerabilities, sourced from social media, data leaks, and dark web platforms, heighten risks of doxxing, fraud, and physical threats.
To combat these threats, Nisos introduced Ascend, a SaaS platform offering dashboard-based visibility into risk exposure. As Ryan LaSalle, CEO of Nisos, stated, “It takes humans to accurately understand and solve human risk problems. Our team operates as an extension of our clients’ security, trust and safety, legal, and intelligence teams, bringing together decades of physical and digital intelligence experience to uncover the who, how, and why behind these growing threats.” Ascend’s Executive Protection module automates risk assessments and provides continuous monitoring, ensuring proactive mitigation.
The platform addresses four key human risk areas: executive protection, employment fraud, insider threats, and third-party risks. By monitoring social media, extremist forums, and dark web sources, Nisos identifies and mitigates threats like doxxing and credential theft. “Modern human risk management encompasses so much more than just security awareness and training,” said Lisa Plaggemier, Executive Director of the National Cybersecurity Alliance. The solution integrates with existing security frameworks, enhancing organizational resilience.
Nisos’ solutions have earned trust from Fortune 500 clients across healthcare, social media, and insurance sectors. Matthieu Chan Tsin, SVP of Resiliency Services at Cowbell Cyber, noted, “Nisos has been a trusted partner to Cowbell Cyber for over three years, delivering high-quality intelligence and investigative support across some of our most complex challenges.” The Ascend platform’s secure design, with multi-factor authentication and audit logs, ensures robust protection for high-stakes environments.
