Keepit, a global leader in cloud backup and recovery solutions for SaaS data, announced the appointment of Thierry Bedos as Vice President South EMEA. Tasked with driving growth in France, Italy, and the Iberian region, Bedos will strengthen Keepit’s presence across Small and Medium-sized Businesses (up to 1,000 employees), commercial (1,000–5,000), and enterprise (over 5,000 employees) segments, reporting to Søren Lindkvist, Senior Vice President for EMEA.

Thierry Bedos joins Keepit with extensive experience in SaaS, cybersecurity, Big Data, and AI, having held senior roles at Proofpoint (VP South EMEA), Forcepoint (SVP EMEA), McAfee, SAS Institute, and Oracle. At Proofpoint and Forcepoint, he managed multicultural teams and built strategic partner networks in competitive markets. “Keepit has established itself as a credible alternative to backup solutions integrated into large cloud ecosystems, thanks in particular to its independent data centers,” said Bedos. His expertise in distribution ecosystems and value-added resellers (VARs) will bolster Keepit’s growth in Southern Europe.
Keepit’s vendor-independent cloud platform, with data centers in seven regions including two new ones in Switzerland (2024), ensures data sovereignty and compliance with regulations like GDPR, NIS2, and DORA. This aligns with European market demands, as Bedos noted: “Its approach serving compliance, sovereignty, and fine-grained data protection is particularly well-suited to the expectations of the European market.” The Paris office, opened in October 2024, supports this regional strategy.
Keepit’s 2024 achievements include a $50M funding round led by One Peak and EIFO, 17 industry awards (e.g., Global Infosec Awards for “Most Innovative Compliance”), and a partner network expansion from 300 to over 500 EMEA partners. The Keepit Partner Network, launched in 2024, empowers resellers and MSPs with training and margins, driving its channel-first strategy. Bedos’ appointment builds on this momentum, following key hires like Kim Larsen (CISO) and Dan Middleton (VP UKI).
