Infoblox, a leader in hybrid, multi-cloud networking and preemptive security, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Axur, a global provider of AI-powered security solutions focused on external threat detection and disruption. The planned acquisition, subject to regulatory approvals and closing conditions, is expected to close in Spring 2026. This move broadens Infoblox’s preemptive security strategy to address threats originating beyond the traditional network perimeter, including brand abuse, fraud, data and credential theft, and AI-scaled phishing and impersonation campaigns.
Modern attacks increasingly originate outside the network—on fake websites, social platforms, app stores, and search ads—where threat actors leverage AI to scale convincing phishing, impersonation, and fraud at unprecedented speed. Organizations need proactive visibility and disruption to reduce risk before threats reach users or systems.
“Many modern attacks now start outside the traditional network, on fake websites, social platforms, app stores and search ads,” said Scott Harrell, president and CEO, Infoblox. “That’s why security teams are moving beyond their perimeter, focusing on seeing what’s exposed and reducing risk before a breach. Axur extends our preemptive security offering by giving customers the ability to see and stop these threats earlier with rapid, AI-powered detection and takedowns that disrupt malicious infrastructure before it can be weaponized.”
Axur automates the full lifecycle of external threat management: continuous discovery of phishing domains, fraudulent social profiles, rogue mobile apps, and leaked credentials; AI-powered validation; automated takedown requests; and ongoing monitoring to prevent re-emergence. By integrating these capabilities with Infoblox’s DNS-layer blocking and network attribution, organizations gain a unified approach to disrupt threats faster and attribute risk to specific owners for remediation.
“Axur was built to help organizations keep pace with attackers through automation, transparency and measurable outcomes,” said Fabio Ramos, CEO, Axur. “Joining Infoblox allows us to scale these capabilities globally and enhance external threat disruption with deeper network and security context, delivering a more preemptive approach to protection.”
This acquisition positions Infoblox to deliver a more comprehensive preemptive security platform that addresses the evolving tactics of AI-enabled adversaries, helping organizations protect digital assets and maintain resilience in an increasingly exposed threat landscape.
