Equifax and GBG have announced an expansion of their long-standing partnership to strengthen identity verification and fraud prevention capabilities globally, including an expanded rollout into the U.S. market. The companies said the collaboration will combine Equifax’s proprietary fraud and identity data with GBG’s adaptive identity platform, GBG Go, to help organizations combat increasingly sophisticated digital and AI-driven fraud threats.
The expanded partnership comes as businesses face rising financial risks tied to synthetic identity fraud, which is projected to generate more than $23 billion in losses by 2030, according to Deloitte Center for Financial Services.
Equifax and GBG said the enhanced partnership is designed to help organizations strengthen digital trust while reducing exposure to evolving fraud threats.
As part of the agreement, Equifax Identity and Fraud solutions will be integrated into GBG Go, GBG’s adaptive identity platform. The companies said the integration will provide businesses with access to Equifax’s proprietary trust and fraud signals to improve identity verification accuracy and fraud prevention capabilities.
"Equifax and GBG have collaborated for nearly a decade and share a strong commitment to providing global organizations with the robust, data-driven defenses required to address digital and AI-based fraud," said Mark W. Begor, Equifax Chief Executive Officer. "Equifax maintains proprietary trust and fraud signals from more than 60 billion consumer interactions – powerful, unique data that differentiates our AI-driven identity and fraud solutions in the industry."
According to Equifax, the integration will help organizations better detect synthetic identity fraud, combat credit ghosting, and reduce first-party fraud through real-time identity proofing technologies.
The partnership expansion reflects growing enterprise demand for stronger fraud detection systems as AI-generated fraud tactics become more advanced and widespread.
By integrating Equifax’s identity and fraud capabilities into GBG Go, GBG customers globally will gain access to enriched identity resolution and real-time fraud protection powered by differentiated data assets.
"The identity and fraud landscape is changing rapidly, and businesses need data-driven solutions that enable both trust and growth," said Dev Dhiman, Chief Executive Officer of GBG. "Together with Equifax, we're helping global organizations respond to increasingly sophisticated fraud while scaling confidently."
GBG noted that it is already leveraging Equifax proprietary data in several global markets to support faster and more accurate identity verification workflows. The expanded partnership will now extend those capabilities to the U.S. market alongside broader fraud prevention functionality.
In addition to fraud protection enhancements, Equifax also plans to integrate GBG’s data verification technologies into its own services.
The company said GBG’s address and location verification capabilities will first be deployed in the U.S. later this year, followed by global implementation in 2027. The integration is expected to improve Equifax’s ability to verify addresses and locations in real time across enterprise workflows.
As digital fraud continues to rise globally, both companies said the partnership aims to help enterprises balance stronger security controls with improved customer onboarding experiences and scalable digital trust frameworks.
